Janvi's Review On GCS Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Ahmedabad

The courses are really good here. The classes are always held on time and never delayed. There are a lot of practicals and research work to be done throughout the course. Both theories and practicals are given equal importance but the teaching is done more on a practical basis.

The placements are good. There are good job opportunities and also which pays you good. You even have to do internships and the stipend offered when you do it in their own hospital is around 13k-15k rupees per month. There is also a great option to work in their own hospital and even they pay you good.

The fee structure is very expensive here. Not everybody is able to afford such high cost. The tuition fee for an M.S course here costs you ?10.5 lakhs per annum. The level of education and all of the facilities provided are good but the fee still seems really high and absolutely not reasonable.

There is no option for any sort of scholarship neither from the state nor from the college. There is no loan option as well since the banks usually reject to give such huge loan as the fee is really high. All the fee should be paid at once and within the given time due.

Labs are good but some of them do need some improvement. All the equipment is provided and is in good condition as well. Sports are highly supported and the students are very much encouraged to take part in the various tournaments held by the college.

The admission is based on your grades in the qualifying exam. After I was done with my MBBS, I was seeking for the best colleges to pursue M.S. I filled an application form for GCS Medical College. Later, based on my grades, I was selected for admission.

The faculty is highly qualified. They are really good, kind and friendly. They never hesitate to teach something new or clarifying the doubts. They are always available for us through out the day and they even stay with us after hours when we are in need of them.
