Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth is an institute that deserves more credit than it receives. It offers various specializations that are rarely found in other colleges, with a training and faculty that is among the very best.
Course Curriculum Overview
The masters program is a full-time two year course divided into four semesters with a total of 50 credits. The course includes theory and practical classes including laboratory work and field research.
Placement Experience
The college does not have a separate placement cell, and most of the students prefer to continue further studies. For the few who wish to work after this, the university arranges seminars and workshops for professional competence in every course.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is about sixteen thousand per year (16,000) which is affordable. The fee structure is decided by a separate committee of the regulatory authority and is the same for most of the state colleges and universities.
Campus Life
Sports is a major extracurricular activities, with events held regularly at college, university and national levels. The college has many libraries and a data and information center that we have partial access to. Apart from that there are laboratories equipped for the latest research.
Admission
The admission criteria is a proportionate 70:30 of MAUEB-CET and the graduation marks (CGPA). A candidate is only eligible if he/she is in the merit list of CET and has a CGPA of more than 5.5. Candidates with a bachelors degree in agriculture, agricultural engineering, horticulture, forestry and other such allied fields can apply.
Faculty
The college has a dedicated and hard-working faculty, that is composed of specialists and scientists in their respective fields. M.Sc. in Agricultural Meteorology comes under the Faculty of M.Sc. Agriculture.
