Remarks

I was not satisfied with the general acadameic atmosphere. The quality of learning was not good. We were not at ease to facilitate learning. It was tough 4 years.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE. I wrote the All India Engineering Entrance Examination. I got average rank and got in to an average college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum was good because it was designed and enforced up on by Anna University. Anna University was the sole factor that helped or pushed the college to perform and deliver.

Internships Opportunities

No companies came for campus internships. We got internships on our own from companies in technopark, Trivandrum. The college I heard have come up with placement and opportunities after our batch recently but its still poor.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements and job opportunities are not good or comparable to most of the Engineering colleges. The college struggles to get good amount of good companies or MNCs in to the campus.

College Events

2.5

College used to celebrate workshops for each department, in the form of celebrations and paper presentations. I was part of the computer science lab and used to take part in paper presentations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was affordable in comparison to other colleges in the region. It was not cheap but mainly based on the merit of the student performance in the 12th and entrance.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility was available for outstanding students in the form of fee waiver for entire duration or for few years or varied based on performance at the college.

Campus Life

3

The extracurricular, labs, sports etc improved gradually. By the time I had passed out there was significant improvement but a lot would have been desired. Now, it has one of the best facilities in terms of infrastructure for enabling the same.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facilities was comparable if not great. We had issues with food and hygiene most of the days. Epidemic outbreaks were very common in the hostel due to the same. I had to discontinue hostel and be a day scholar after a brief stay.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumini network is very week. I have not seen active Alumini participation from anyone in the college. It keeps us very disconnected with students taking upp opportunities abroad and post graduate studies as well.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is as mandated by Anna University. The patter was a mix of 20 Percent weightage for Internals and Remaining for Externals.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of the college was average which is was mainly because of very experienced and freshers as lecturers. I could not find consistency for the same.

Placement Experience:

In my college, on campus placement opportunitiesd for core biotechnology and life science fields were quite limited, While there were placement drives conducted during the final year, the majority of companies that visited were from IT, customer support, and non-core sectors, which weren't directly relevant to the field of biotechnology.
