Velammal Medical College and Hospital Research Institute(VMCHRI)Madurai,Tamil Nadu for my Fellowship in Pediatrics has given me an experience in the same and few unknown knowledge that I wasn't even aware of during my MBBS.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is set up and organised by the Medical Council Of India and totally is based up on the Pediatrics study. Exams are conducted two times in every six months that is four times during the course program.

Placement Experience

After the one year of compulsory Internship the fellowship is started and the students are offered to practice in college's hospital for the convenience. During the course program they are assigned particular duties.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for the Fellowship in Pediatrics is really nominal as compared to the college's that provide the same course program under the proper guidance of Medical Council of India, that is structured by them too.

Campus Life

Sports meet and the annual meet organising and the symposiums that are arranged for the students by the college management. Medical professionals speakers are invited to conduct the students with their field.

Admission

After my MBBS degree and completion of MD I applied for fellowship program from VMCHRI and under the guidance of MCI my documents were accepted and after few procedures I was allotted a seat of admission in the college.

The students who are studying in the sem7th final year are eligible to attend interviews. Depending on the company's requirements backlog students can attend. company's like Shahi, Intertek, and Pallava groups are they came. average packages of the company are about 250000 per annum. mostly above 90% of students got placed except the students who all want to pursue their master's degree. I want to go for a job with a well integrated multinational company.

First semester students are eligible mostly for campus but all students attend campus. This company, Wipro, has more marketing companies also, call centers. Package from 20,000 to 1,00,000 highest package. 70 to 80 percent of students get placement. My plan after my degree goes to the job only.

DECENT PLACE WITH DECENT OPPORTUNITIES

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester and up to the 8th semester, (final years only). For the Mechanical department, usually more or less 50 companies visit for placement offerings. 80 to 85% of students get placed every year from the mechanical department alone. salary starts from 12,000 to 25,000 per month. My plans are to start a business related to the department.
