Course Curriculum Overview
Our syllabus and time table was more focused on research perspective as the stream was forensic science. However, at first, to acknowledge us with the curriculum we do not have many labs and the exams were easy to crack. As the core and detailed subjects were introduced, we spent more time in labs and the final exams were hard to crack if not prepared well.
Placement Experience
My overall perspective on the GIET Degree College placements and job opportunities are on the positive side as we got offers from several reputed and known firms. College placements include interviews from companies like NVIDIA, SIEMENS, Wipro, ORACLE, VITGER, Web Synergies, and several others.
College Events
We generally had an independence day event, Republic Day celebration, and all the national events and holidays at the campus which were organized by the institute. Also, we had curriculum events at the labs and sometimes at the seminar hall where a known guest came and guided us in the right path followed by some felicitation events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The amount for the fees was 25,000 per annum which was much feasible as per my viewpoint concerning the research-oriented course. Also, the fees continued with a similar amount for the next two years after I did the payment for the first year.
Campus Life
As my stream was research-based, I used to visit the library and labs a lot during m leisure time. The labs were equipped with appropriate facilities for every individual candidate. However, I like to read in the library due to a peaceful environment. Also, sometimes I played sports to stay fit and physically healthy.
Hostel Facilities
It was on the student's perspective to choose from the hostel facilities at the institute campus or the pg rooms which were somewhat feasible for the students compared to the hostel. As the accommodation facilities were quite good and food was average, students enrolled in the hostel facilities with clean rooms, water and electricity supply.
Admission
Once I cleared the Common Entrance Test- GIETCET, I enrolled my application for a Bachelor of Science, a three-year undergraduate degree in Forensic Science. However, the admission procedure to be followed by every candidate was online only. My scores in the higher secondary section were above average to I got the confirmed seat with ease.
Faculty
The GIET Degree College had lecture faculties and lab assistants where the students learned both the aspects with qualified and many knowledgeable educators. Although the periods were short, they covered every aspect of the course and also gave extra notes to refer to during experiments at labs and also in exams.
