My MBA joureny

The course inculcated problem solving skills in us. The course integrated tools and concepts from multiple functional areas (i.e., Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations etc.,) to solve business problems. The focus was on management theory and practice in the first semester. The second semester widened to HR management, marketing management, financial management, Production and operations management and organizational behavior. In the third semester we were taught two electives in which I chose public finance and Indian economy. The core courses include business ethics and corporate governance, legal aspects of business. The fourth semester taught us the principles of logistics and supply chain management and entrepreneurship development.

The Placement Cell set up in the campus organizes 360 degree development program in collaboration with the MBA Department for Total Quality Management (TQM) that motivates the students. The cell has created the environment that corporate etiquette and effective communication. There are training activities which are held in each year. In first year, there is communication training (activity oriented training), motivational session program and logical reasoning online tests. In second year, there is technical training and quantitative aptitude online test and Mock interview session. Our course has one of the best placement record in the college. Some of the top recruiters include Oracle, Genpact, Wipro, Global Logic and Infotech.

The Student HR Summit is the key event of the campus. It is 3 day long event lined up with several events like panel discussion, workshops, quiz and debates. All these events gave real world exposure to the students. They interacted with some of the top industry professionals. The college also organized MSME Expo, workshop on entrepreneurship, financial planning workshop and CSR activity.

The fees of the course was nominal. I paid the annual course fee which was INR 70,000 through net banking in a single installment. All the fee was included in it like tuition fee, examination fee and miscellaneous fee. We only paid INR 500 for filling the examination form during each semester.

There is the ATM and Bank facility available on the campus for the students and faculty. There is debating club, dance and music club, art club and quiz cub where students take part with great enthusiasm. The incubation center is also set up in the campus for providing the platform to the budding entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurship cell is also set up which works in collaboration with the incubation center.

After qualifying the minimum eligibility criteria, I gave Common Entrance Test (CET). This test was designed to test my logical and verbal skills. The list of students who qualified the test came online on the official website of the college. I saw my name in the list and after my documents got verified, my admission was confirmed in MBA.

There are total 9 faculty members. They are from prestigious institutions with specialization in finance, HR, Marketing, global relations, business, economics. Few of them are the visiting faculty to IIMs. They are practical in their approach. I found the mentor in them. They often mentor us on life related issues and motivates us to continuously do better in our lives.
