Remarks

The college lacked a few things but as an overall professional college i really enjoyed my time there. Our department teachers were very supportive and helpful. The college eased us into the subject and builded our knowledge on the market rather than pushing us off the deep end.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course was a two year pg diploma course. It was set up by the Mumbai University. The course went into handling a business administration to detailed representation of theory. Every subject was management related and was updated according to the latest market trends. It was a very professional course.

Placement Experience

4.5

We had a marvelous placement cell that strived to help us find good jobs. Around most of the students were employed. Some of the recruiting companies were HCL, Deloitte, Globus etc. They provided us with great salary packages and the job was interesting.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My total course fees was around 5 lac rupees. There were some additional fees like the exam fees and others. But the fee structure was quite expected as the course was a specialization professional course, so i didn't mind since there were lot of opportunities after the course.

Campus Life

Our college celebrated many indian festivals and had many programs that were organised by the students. We also had many workshops and activities that helped us improve ourselves and introduce us to the industry.

Admission

For admission into my course i wrote the CAT entrance exam, They looked into the marks i got in my graduation, from which the cut-off was 50%. The process was quite simple as there werem't many complicated procedures and the staff was were very helpful.

Faculty

4.5

Most of my professors were PhD graduates and had good experience with the subject matter. The teachers were all very welcoming and kind. They helped clear our doubts and were very much available to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
