Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for MA English was vast as it managed to cover the works of fiction, drama, poetry etc. The stress was given to the novels that changed every semester which were studied and taught by the Professors in great depth. Placement Experience
There was no placement cell in the college. Even the internships had to be found by the students themselves if they were interested. I managed to survey around and find an internship on my own with a start up. Even though the university may not help you in identify it, one should still look for one.
College Events
The college provides an organized schedule of events that take place time to time. They focus on women empowerment workshops, road map for social inclusion, regional workshops that are conducted from the organisation that have been doing such sessions for years. Personally, I enjoyed the seminar on retracing the roots of English literature that would take place yet again in 2020.
Fee Structure And Facilities

Campus Life
The extra curricular activities are limited but otherwise, they operate well. The activities taken under NSS and NCC are of varying difference therefore, I managed to choose the projects that interested me the most and I worked on them for a couple of months.
Hostel Facilities
The university consist of 23 hostels for men which accounts for 3200 students and 10 hostels are there for exclusively women with the accommodation of 2000 seats. Such big numbers with few accommodations is not the most recommendable decision to make. I would suggest the university to have more accommodations for both the genders as the number of rooms are little and the students are more than required.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the college is a long chain that is well connected. Generally, the graduates from the university have induldged in government administration and research organizations. Some of them include Dr. G.M. Rao, Sri M.Venkaiah Naidu and many more.
Admission
Andhra University offers Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in arts, science and commerce stream. For the admission process, the candidate needs to apply for Andhra University Admission Entrance test (AUCET). I was eligible for taking the entrance exam as I had finished my graduation and had my bachelors degree. when the application forms were out, I submitted them online along with all the documents required. The final submission required me to pay Rs. 600/-. Thereafter, the hall ticket was issued on the university website which I took for the entrance exam. As a result, I was given a test wise rank as per marks that I secured in the test. I had given the entrance exam to pursue the course, MA English. The entrance exam was for 90 minutes which happened offine. The syllabus of the entrance exam was flexible and easily comprehendible. Faculty
Some of my professors had their specialization in not only British novels but also, in Indian writings which was always a plus point as the professors would always have discussions on them before the end of the class. While all of the professors had their masters degree in place, there were few who had done their PhD about which they would share their experience with us. Prof. Rajendra Karmarkar was exceptionally good with his work.
