Course Curriculum Overview

The course is more of a research-oriented course. It also includes specialization in a particular topic. There are options from which the candidate has to decide which one to choose. There is a lot of in-depth understanding which is involved in the course.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has always provided us with the best internships opportunities for us while we were pursuing our course. These internships were very beneficial for us. They only helped us by giving us financial support but also help gain a lot of exposure. After the internships, some of us were offered permanent jobs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees vary from subject to subject in the institute. Though there are many fees which are charged by the institute. But still, the fee structure remains feasible for the students. The fee rate is very nominal for the course and even for my course.

Campus Life

The institute has always encouraged us to participate in various events that happen during the course. We are motivated to do independent research projects that help us to get more information. There are also various workshops and seminars that happen in the institute.

Admission

I applied for the course as soon as I completed my M.Sc degree. I should also have a SIR/UGC-Junior Research Fellowship or NET. As I scored really well at all my levels the process of seeking admission to the institute was very easy for me. There was a selection that one has to clear to confirm their admission to the institute.

Faculty

5

The faculty that taught us has very professional and well educated. They all were a part of some of the other research programs. Some of them are renounced names in the field of research. I was so great to be taught by such great personalities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
