Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for pursuing MA is divided on yearly based examination must be done on the basis of rules and regulations specified by the University. The course curriculum is properly designed which provides the knowledge of every aspect of the course.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement cell is decent, faculties are kept working for providing a better on-campus placement. We have to do an internship during his course. The students with 70% aggregate will get a chance for placements. The teachers are good and well-educated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It?s a government college so the fee is very feasible so every class of society can get a quality education. For MA for two academics years, it?s cost me around INR 24,000. The registration fee is charged separately at the time of admission once.

Campus Life

Many extracurricular activities are conducted in the college, The annual fest is organized by college every year for 5 days. Many cultural shows, Nukkad Natak and games played. Our college has the best and secular celebrations of festivals,.celebrated regularly.

Admission

For MA students must have passed graduation level with a minimum of 50% in graduation. For SC/ST/OBC, 45% marks. On the basis of academics results, and rules and regulations specified by the University through the merit list. My name was there in the second shortlist.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty members in our college were good their teaching style is unique, they teach everything in a perfect manner with good examples. They provide practical knowledge. They also know how to transfer their knowledge to students. The faculty of our college gives individual attention to different kinds of students.

The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
