Chimes Aviation Academy or CAA as they call themselves, is a premier flying club in India offering best flying training for commercial pilots in India, behind only to IGRUA. With about 120 pilots flying out a year, Chimes is simply the fastest in training.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum provide Flying Training -Single Engine - 185 hours on Cessna-172 R aircraft, equipped with Garmin-1000 glass cockpit and Multi-Engine 15 hours on Piper Seneca/ Diamond DA - 42 aircraft.
Placement Experience
yes,the college provides placements to all the students. various recruitment companies that visit the college are Air Asia | Air India | blue dart | Go Air | IndiGo Airlines | Spicejet | Tru Jet | Vistara.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees in Chimes is relatively competitive in structure. For Glass cockpit 172, they charge 11,500 Rs per hour. For multi engine, they charge 38,000 Rs per hour. However these rates are tend to changes due to fuel price fluctuations.
Campus Life
Chimes conduct PPL, CPL, license conversions, multi-engine ratings, instrument ratings and AFI training. However, no regular courses for ATPL is there.Library facility in Chimes is reasonably good. However no hostel or travel facilities are provided.
Admission
Submission of Class II Medical Certificate (Indian) from a designated medical practitioner and Class I Medical would be necessary for the issue of Commercial Pilot License. Above mentioned age for date of joining CAA and 18 years or above for the issue of Commercial Pilot License.
Faculty
In Chimes,instructors insist on flying more unlike other institutes where cadets have to bribe and please instructors to get their flying. the college has a team of highly qualified faculty who come with impressive credentials.
