My journey to iitbhu

I am really happy after joining iitbhu. It has all the facilities. and good placements offers. It is good in administrative and management way.

I faced JEE mains and jee advanced and my score in jee advanced was 165/360. And i had the other options too. In first councelling i got iit roorkee come vil engineering and then in second councelling by upgrade i got iitbhu mechanical branch (4yr b.tech.course). Actually admission process at my timr was so simple and i had to fill forms only those were online but from now in iit it has been done necessary that students will go to iit once after first councelling for the verification of the documents.

In my first year first semester many subjects were there like maths, physics, and chemistry, and manufacturing technology and english. And college timing was from morning 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with the break from 12:00-2:00. And each class was of ane hour except maufacturing that was a practical class (3 hours) and also an ed class that was of 4 hours non stop.

Actually i am 2nd yr student sotill now i havenot done any internship but in third yr many students got interned and some students are offered foreign scholarship too. They are given like 40000-70000 for 45 day internship in summer. And some of them do in winter time also. Seniors say that its not a big deal to get internship for iitians.

Placements and jobs opportunities are excellent every year around 2companies come to our college and some of then are like google, facebook, oracle, and mahindra and many other. And almost 70% students get placed in campus only. An ld in branches like c.s. and mnc and electronics 100% students got placed.and we talk about last yr packages then mohit sharma was given 2 crore 3 laks which is the highest package ever in any of the iit of college. And many students got more than 50 lakhs. and average package for cs branch is 18 crore and other braches are 8 crore approximately.

Technical event of our college is technex in which many events are there like aero modelling, robotics, water rocket etc and cultural event is kashiyatra. and sport event is spardha. and others are anveshan. They are quite big festivals. Many students from different colleges participate in them and crowd is very high like 2500 participation from other colleges. Main events are the first three ones. Other many festivals are like strings eve and ecmach branch has its festival like mechanical has comet and civil has shilp.

Actually for a middle ckass family fee is expensive. For general and obc people fee is 50950 per semester including hostel fees. and for sc and st this total come out to be 5700. And other than this mess charge is common for all.i.e.12000. Per sem. So for a middle class family where you have other brother ans sisters too its a large amount.

Yaa college gives many scholarships like mcm(merit cum means 100000? per yr ) and central sector (only for sc and st students 80000? in first yr and 40000 from second yr ) and mcm that is being provided is forr all category students. And mcm is given only to top25% students according to jee advanced rank and there is income criteria is also.and other than this there is a scholarship named student welfare (25000? per year). And other scholarships are also there provided by many institutions like iocl and others.

Gender ratio in an iit is obviously less its like 8/100. But behaviour of all students is quite good. And there is nothing like gender or race discrimination or politics etc.and as bhu is a university so campus is big enough like 1100 acres.and in sports activities and robotics and aeromodelling our college is doing well, facilities are also excellent. In aeromodelling our college comes in top three always in iitbombay's techfest. And our gymkhana has hockey, cricket, boxing, table tennis, basket, and volleyball and badminton and football and many more. For debate and all there is a different club.

Hostels are good and toilets are also good in new hostels. and 3 students reside together in new hostels and in old ones only 2 studenta reside together. There are 12 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels in iitbhu. As girls are very less in iit. Yaa if we had to be in pg then obvioisly we cant offord that because titap expenditure of pg only comes 1 lakh in one year. And mess food in good as only 12000 is being paid by us so food that is provided is good.

To be in contact with the aluminis our college has websites. And we can also put our doubts to them and some aluminis are councellors also. Time to time aluminis give suggesstions to ous staff and thay help a lot. Each branch also has a different network. And one student has one senior as his father and he helps him in all the way.

As we know there are 2 semesters in one year and one semester in our college is broken into 3 parts like 2 cts and one end sem exams. cts are generally of 20-20 marks and end sem is of 60 marks. nd then grades are in relative system. Student who gets highest marks is given highest marks and then in a range like of 10 marks, other grades are distributed. Some subjects also has practicak weightage and some other activities.

Obviously as it is an iit, faculty is good and some techers are excellent like coaching teachers. Some of them are from iits like they have done mtech or phd from there and some are crom different eminent colleges. Teachers like mz khan and asim mukharjee are excellent.
