My experiences in vijaya engineering college

The college truly opened up the doors to many things that I haven't explored so far. So it's something i am really grateful for. I also have had a lot of memories and learning experiences that I will cherish forever.

The course curriculum is in depth and consists of various practical applications also. There are many projects and activities to keep us motivated and interested. Examination schedule consists of mid semester, end semester exams.

We have a placement and training cell in college which trains us effectively . The cell is constituted by highly experienced faculty who help and train us to land the jobs with ease. Some of the companies that visit the campus are IBM, Capgemini and Welspun. We also have a separate entrepreneurship cell to help students with their entrepreneurial ventures and ideas.

There are many events that happen in college. Workshops on communication skills, networking and security, java and web development are some of the highlights. Technical and cultural fest is called the VIGNITE where students from different colleges in and around the city participate.

The fee structure is quite feasible when you take into consideration the facilities and exposure offered by the university. The tuition fee, books , library and sports facilities fee all amount to 60,000 per year . So the total fees for 4 years is 2.4lakhs. Hostel fee is not included in this .

There are no tie ups with banks for loans. Students have to look out for them on their own. There are merit based scholarships for toppers in different branches and students can apply for government loans if they belong to economically weaker section and category .

Anti ragging and women's cell are set up to ensure that no discrimination of students and woman take place whatsoever. There are good sports facilities, internet facility . College authorities are intolerant towards exclusion of any community on any grounds.

The hostel faculties are good with 24?7 medical facilities, fully furnished room and internet facility. The rooms and washrooms are maintained properly by the staff . Rooms are available on a sharing basis.

There is an alumni network in the college but it is rudimentary. We can anyway contact them and they are more than willing to help all the time . Senior students are really supportive and approachable.

Entrance to the college is through TS EAMCET. Student has to secure atleast 45 percent in 10th ,12th to be eligible. Based on the cut offs and ranks in EAMCET I was shortlisted and I chose electronics because I was very interested in the field.

The faculty are really good and they are experienced and trained professionals in different fields. A lot of my professors always look forward to gaining the attention of each and every individual while teaching in the class.
