Remarks
I'm a proud student of Deccan College. The college offers better education for the students. Deccan College is one of the best colleges in Telangana to provide medical education for its students. I couldn't find any serious negative point about the College.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good there in Deccan College. As it is a higher course, the syllabus is too vast and there is no free time for any other thing during the course. Theory and practical sessions make seems too hard. During exams, it is, for sure, a hectic day/week for us.
Placement Experience
As PG students, we're paid because we have to do work too. I'm provided with a Stipend of Rs. 45000. And there are a lot of placement opportunities for us. A postgraduate student is able to deal effectively with the needs of the community and thus he/she could get placements easily in Private or Government Hospitals.
College Events
Our college encourages cultural programs to explore the talents of the students. We, postgraduates too ate not kept apart from any of the events. There are celebrations on special occasions like the Independence Day, Republic Day or Annual Day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in Deccan College is little expensive since it is a private college. It is about Rs.2 lakhs per year. The college also offers Stipend and other scholarships for the deserving students.
Campus Life
The college promotes extracurricular activities to explore the talent of the students. They're made to perform and it lessens the workload of the students. There is Gender equality and ragging is prohibited in the college as well as in the hostel.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I've opted for Hostel and the hostel is cool. The rate is expensive, but we're provided with all basic requirements. Food and other necessities are okay. A lot of enjoyment is being attained out of the hostel life.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a good alumni network for Deccan College. We're in constant contact with our seniors and they guide us in every possible way. Many of our seniors are working in hospitals and are very experienced. Their experience guide us in many ways.
Admission
After completing my MBBS course, I planned to do my higher studies in Paediatrics and heard of Deccan College of Medical Sciences. I'm so interested in caring and loving small children and devoting time with them is the best thing one could ever do.
Faculty
The faculty of Deccan College is a bunch of intelligent, supportive Doctors who tries hard to enrich the knowledge of students. As it is a PG course, most often the syllabus is left to be studied alone without the aid of Doctors. But despite the busy schedule, they find time to aid us.
