Course Curriculum Overview

The aim of the program is to give an advanced understanding of the capital & financial management and an expert awareness on how to choose between the investment options. The subjects which are taught are cost and management accounting, direct & indirect tax laws, auditing and assurance services, insurance and risk management, financial institutions and management, securities & portfolio management etc. These subjects help our skills to develop in all the relevant factors for making the informed decisions for the continued growth of the financial and banking industry. The duration of the course is three years.

Placement Experience

4

From my batch students were given the roles of risk manager, security analyst, investment manager, equity research analyst, money market dealer and investment banker. Top recruiting companies were ICICI banks, HDFC bank, Merchant banking companies, Accounting firms and many other educational & industrial houses. The highest package offered was 16 lpa while the average ranges from 4 to 5 lpa. Summer internships were also offered by the college in business consultancies and foreign trade banks with the minim um stipend of 15,000 per month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fees for one year is 18,000. The total fees for three years is 54,000 which I consider is very feasible on my part. You need to deposit a one time non refundable registration fees. The hostel & mess fees also need to be paid at the beginning of the course.

Campus Life

Two NSS units which have 200 students each organises activities such as industrial training, vegetable gardening, environment activities, social services such as free teaching to poor children and to provide home for needy people. A grievance cell is also provided to the aggrieved student facing any issue.Sport tournaments like 200 meter race, volleyball, International Aquatics campus, badminton, basketball etc are held at our college once in a year to provide the students a platform to showcase their talents.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms were clean and hygienic. Internet and laundry facility were provided to us so that we don't posses any issue. The labs of the college are very well developed and clean. The canteen and mess food is also good. Different dishes are prepared according to the cultural activities in our college.

Admission

In order to get admission in the college you need to have at least 45% marks in the 12th standard with one commerce subject. Those students who do not have commerce subject are also eligible to apply only if they have 45% or above marks in class 12th. You can apply online for the course you want to seek admission in and pay the admission fees. A merit list will be prepared based on your 12th marks. My name was in the first merit list as I have secured 88 % in my boards exams. Shortly after that I was called for document verification and later granted admission in the college.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are highly qualified trained individuals in their respective field. They focus on practical demonstrations of financial modelling and cost management rather than just focusing on the theoretical part. They are always there to help the students who are facing any issue in a relevant subject. Assignments are given to the students so that they can asses if the student are understanding the subject better or not.Overall I would say that the teachers are friendly and supportive.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
