Course Curriculum Overview

The course was three years along with six semesters. The class tests were taken in the form of external internal which were the final examinations. We were asked to present in the class and give presentations and vivas. The curriculum was stressfree and relaxing.

Placement Experience

3

The placements used to held at the end of third year where we had to fill the placement form. Various institutes used to come and interview although it was recommended to study further for the Masters. Portals like study portal, full marks, Aakash Institute came to interview on the basis of academy performances. The students filling the job application form were placed with an average package of Rs.4 lakhs per annum and 80% of them used to get placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this was a government College the face wasn? that high and it was very feasible. Everything was sponsored by the government. The first year fees was around Rs.8000 and it could be submitted in the form of demand draft, card payments but no cash was accepted. Overall the course fees was less than ?40,000.

Campus Life

The college was nicely constructed with big playground is where students could play football, cricket, basketball, volleyball sports. The multipurpose hall were spacious enough and we had clubs for various extra co-curricular activities. The students used to come from different backgrounds and there was a wide diversity. Overall the environment of the college was very friendly.

Admission

The admission was on the basis of 12th board examinations and I got 85% in my boards and applied to the college. The application form was available at the campus and I filled it with my required details. I was called upon for the counselling and got admitted to the course.

Faculty

4

The faculty was well qualified and all were known in their respective fields. They were PhD holders. All were fluent in English which led to no communication gap. They used to give us recommendation letters for the future scope of the course and guided as well throughout the curriculum.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
