Course Curriculum Overview
It is a four year fine arts program in which we have to chose the course we want to do major in such as painting, flim-making, technical & fine arts, tv production, stage management, animation & flim production etc.This course is designed in such a manner that appeals to the aesthetic sense of candidates and makes their imagination grow.Last year of the program is very important as we are given key details about history of modern Indian & western art, solo campaign design and advertising profession & practices so that we became industry ready.
Placement Experience
Top recruiters such as Red chillies, HT media and many more selected the students from my senior batch for the roles of art director, visual artist, art critic, cartoonist, visual designer, painter etc.The packages ranges from 8 to 11 lpa. Summer internships were also offered by the college and the minimum stipend for the same was 11,000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is 40,000 for a year and the total comes down to 1,20,000 for a period of our years.You need to pay separately the hostel & mess charges. A one time registration fees is to be paid at the beginning of the semester.I consider this fees to be very nominal seeing the facilities that are provided to us.
Campus Life
Blood donation camps, AIDS awareness campaigns, child labor campaigns are often held at our college by the NSS wing which is responsible for taking up social activities in the college. Workshops on conservation, literature, visual arts, folklore, performing arts, regional languages are held every month to provide the students necessary knowledge towards the cultural activities.A personality development programme is also held at our college to equip the students in such a manner that they present themselves in a befitting manner while conducting various cultural activities and seeking for job profiles.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are always there to help us in our tough times. The alumni cell of our college organises conferences every year so that the seniors can share their experiences with the industry with us. They are always there and guide us in what career path we should choose that will be good for us in the long run.
Admission
You need to secured 50% marks in your 12th standard to get admission in this course. A 5% relaxation is offered to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. You can fill the registration form online and fill in the necessary detail. Upload your documents such as transfer certificate, Migration certificate, Two passports size photographs etc. Thereafter you will be called for the counselling session if your name appears in the merit list prepared by the college. Luckily my name was in the first merit list and I was granted admission in the college.
Faculty
We have academic lectures by the renowned scholars who come to our college ( time to time). The teachers demonstrate us through examples, field studies, exhibitions so that we develop a practical & theoretical knowledge about the concerned field.Overall I would mention that all the faculty members are supportive ans super friendly.
