Nidhi Vashishtha's Review On Banasthali Vidyapith, Jaipur

I have done my Masters in Computer Applications from Banasthali University.My session was 2012 -2015. Since Banasthali is a deemed A+ accredited University they use to conduct their own entrance exams. I have taken Banasthali University MCA Entrance Exam to get admissioned in Banasthali University. The exam conducted on 25th June 2012. It was an objective type paper of 200 marks.

The course curriculum of Banasthali University is a bit different from other universities. It comprises of three sections and each section contains sub-parts. The first section introduce the particular course which helps the student to get an idea about the course even if one is not acquainted with the course prior. For every subject in MCA course practical knowledge is also given in depth along with theoretical knowledge.

Well since Banasthali is a reputed company, its rather easy to say which company do not visit(as the count is very few) rather than listing the visited one. Almost every company visits our company for internship period. TERI,TCS,IBM ,DRDO ,DOIT,BARC, Blackrock, Aricent, American Express, NEC, Finland labs, HCL technologies, Radisys, Ranosys, sigmatech, auriga and so on. The stipend started from 5000 to 24000 at the maximum level.

100 % placement assistance is there at Banasthali University. As at the first place it is not easy to get an admission in this college. We have total 170 students of MCA at Jaipur campus and out of which 70 are placed. TCS use to be the first company to visit our campus .Our placement process will get start from september (5th semester). TCS ,IBM ,Accenture, NEC, American Express, Wipro, Blackrock, Radisys,HCL, Ranosys, Aricent, Thoughtworks and many more. The starting salary of companies is 2.5 lacs(TCS, IBM) to 6 lacs(Blackrock ,Radisys).

Banasthali University is famous for its culture. Various cultural programmes takes place at banasthali university. Technorazz is one of the technical event. Indradhanush , maatrabhumi ,Udaan are some of the annual events held at banasthali. From collage making and rangoli competitons to nukkad natak and 'coders' in enterpreneur week we had it all. Interestingly i was the culture head at the banasthali university.I was once anchored the annual function of Banasthali at birla auditorium.

I didn't avail any of the scholarships but Yes, scholarship facility is available to those students whose guardian's annual income is less than 2 lacs and those who have got more than 70 % in high school.

Campus life is not that great as the campus is very small so students cant go for a walk as such in breaks and recess. Also the infrastructure of Jaipur Campus is not much attractive. But if talk about academics you can't compete them. On gender ratio, a little satirical answer i would like to give on this question as it a women's college. Almost our faculty members are also females as compare to male teachers. Workshops conducted on a monthly basis. Banasthali also take cares of societal issues and hence has started a campaign called "GO Green" to give a contribution to our environment.
