Course Curriculum Overview

The duration of our MCA course was two years. There were two semesters in each year. We had to give total number of four semesters in the entire course. Apart from the semester exams, there were midterm examinations which were conducted by our professors before every final exams.

Placement Experience

During the course our institution had organized several placement training programs to prepare us for the internships. Almost 90% students of my batch got placed in recruiting companies like, DCB, EXL Services, HDFC Bank, NIIT and many more.

College Events

Our institution had celebrated many festivals irrespective of caste and religions. The most famous festival was named Prachotan, which was a national level inter-college festival. Apart from that there was environment program, techno-management fest etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for our course was around 154,000, which was to be paid on semester basis. Every semester we had to pay 38,000, which is quite reasonable considering the facilities that our institution offered.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our institution had organised 5000 per semester scholarship for the students who can score 70% above marks in each semesters. They had also organized a 3000 per semester scholarship for the students who can get 60% marks in the exams.

Campus Life

In my batch, there were students from diverse social classes and religions. We had never faced any kind of discrimination in our class. We had unity in the diversity. We had participated in many cultural programs, organised by our institution and really enjoyed our campus life.

Admission

My selection in Chinmaya Institute of Technology was done through an entrance exam, conducted by the institute faculty. There were only 60 seats available for this course so the competition was really high. But my entrance exam score was pretty decent and my name was on the first list of the selected students.

Faculty

The faculty members of our college was really amazing and helpful. All our professors and the guest lecturers were highly qualified and they taught really well. Specially Dr. Kavitha Rajan ma'am was extremely supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
