Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite interesting and modified. The academic year consists of two semester. It is a two year course which is divided into four semesters. The curriculum includes twelve month at National Institute of Epidemiology interspersed with three field posting of twelve months. Final examinations are conducted at the end of each semester.
Placement Experience
Placement is average in our college. But the institute helps us a lot to shape our career by conducting various soft skills sessions, training sessions, mock interviews which helps us a lot in our future. Though the placement is average, but the job opportunities is very good in this course. Many job opportunities are there in Social department, Government NGOs, Survey Researcher, Supervisory Epidemiologist, Infection control Epidemiologist etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure of our institute is little expensive. The total fees of the two years course is around 2,30,000 lakh rupees. We have to pay 30000 rupees for Administrative fees at the time of admission which is included in the total fees and it is a one time fees.
Campus Life
Our institute organizes many extracurricular activities. These activities are very good to develop our personalities and talents. Many indoor and outdoor activities, social activities, cultural activities, literary activities are organized in our institute. Most of the students participate in all the activities.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of our institute is very large. The alumni association of the institute conduct alumni meet every year for the past and its present students. The alumni association gives opportunities to the students to connect, build relations with each other by conducting the alumni meet.The seniors of the institute are very friendly with us. They help and encourage us a lot in our studies. They are very helful.
Admission
After qualifying my graduation, i took admission in this institute . Candidates who works in public health department and who have more than three years of experience in public health related activities are eligible to get admission. There is no age limit. For general candidates, the age limit is 45 years and for SC /ST students the age limit is 40 years.
Faculty
The teachers are very determined and dedicated towards the students. They are very qualified and have very much experience in their particular field. Teachers are very friendly with all the students. They provide study materials which help us a lot in our studies.
