Best college for engineering.

The course curriculum was very well designed that contained practical and theoretical subjects in a good ratio. Though for our branch there was more of field work and surveying. The curriculum consisted of subjects like engineering drawing, AutoCad, survey and mathematics in the starting years and whereas subjects like architecture and town planning were introduced later.

The placement records of our college was very decent. More of placements were there for the computer science department as compared with civil department. The college had an independent placement office that conducted various campus interviews. Some of the companies like Hinduja solutions, venture lighting, SE electricals frequently visited the campus.

The college is best known for providing quality education and best placements at minimal rates. The college fee was really economical. The total fee for the whole engineering course was approximately 2.2 lakhs. The yearly fee included a tuition fee of INR 55,000.

The college gives equal opportunities for extracurricular activities as well. There were numerous clubs in our college that conducted fests and activities throughout the year. The most active clubs of the college included NCC, NSS, Sports clubs and the cultural club. The classrooms were very well constructed and properly ventilated. Many facilities like canteen, hostel, library were also provided to us.

I easily got a seat in this college by clearing the TNEA entrance exam. I was getting computer science branch in the college as my rank was good but still I chose civil engineering because of the excellent industrial exposure that was provided here in MACET. The minimum eligibility criteria here was 10+2 certificate from a recognized board with PCM as compulsory subjects. After my selection was done I was asked to submit the documents in the college premises.

The faculty of the college was very well experienced. They always took immense interest in teaching and always leaded us towards the right direction. Several training programs were also organised by the teachers that provided the best industrial guidance for the students.
