Nirmala College for Women is an autonomous institution in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It is re-accredited by NAAC with "A" Grade. The college admits undergraduates and post-graduates and offers degrees in the liberal arts, sciences and commerce. The institution was affiliated with Madras University till 1981[1] and thereafter affiliated with the Bharathiar UniversityThe students of Nirmala college excel in sports especially in weightlifting.

The college follows the CBCS system. Choice Based Credit System is a flexible system of learning introduced in the year 2008.Credit defines the quantum of content/syllabus prescribed for the course and determines the number of hours of instructions required.

The Placement Cell provides a platform for the final year students to be aware of the career opportunities. Employability Skills like communication skills, Group discussion, Team Building, Resume Preparation and Interviewing skills are imparted through training on regular basis and inviting guest lecturers. Students are motivated to take part in campus and off campus placement drives.

COLLEGE FEE- Tution fee for the first semester is INR 250.Special fees (per annum) that includes admission charges,library charges examination fee etc is INR 930 and laboratory fee per annum is INR 1140. Therefore the total fee is INR 2320.

Student union,N.C.C,(ARMY AND NAVY),N.S.S,Chetna women's cell,AICUF,Shree Nidhi,youth red cross and voluntary blood donation camp,energy club,eco club,social service league,Sneha positive faces,sports and games are some activities in the campus.

Women of all castes can apply for admission. Catholics are given preference.Any student who has successfully complete the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary courses or any other courses recognized by the Bharathiar University or equivalent to it,is eligible for admission.

The professors in the college are very helpful and efficient. Various methods are followed by the staff members for the better understanding of the students. There are around 85 teachers and 3,000 students in the college. The college offers courses in commerce, science, maths, English, economics, history, BBA, IT, etc. Students are taken on an industrial visit for industrial exposure.
