XIME- An overview

The college has really the best infrastructure and hostel facilities as well. The management of this college is great and students don't face any partiality neither in studies nor on grounds. I am fortunate enough to be a part of this deemed institute.

The course curriculum for the course which I am right now pursuing is a bit hectic and vast as well. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students learn many things from theories as well as practicals. Exams and labs are organized which are frequent but is also chilled.

About 80% of the students have already been placed. The placements and job opportunities here are pretty good. A lot of well-established and reputed companies visit this college for recruitment like Infosys, TCS, E&Y etc. College also provides summer internship programs for students with certificate and stipend as well. Some of the companies where the student performs their internships, after completing it sometimes get a letter of recommendation or hired by that particular company.

Our college organizes as well as attends a number of events and programs. We celebrate Independence Days, Republic Days, and some international events like TEDx, Josh Talks etc. We here also celebrate fresher, farewell, holi etc and many more every year.

The fee structure of XIME is a little expensive as it is situated in Chennai and a private institute with all world class facilities and events. The total amount for my 2 years PG in Diploma program is Rs 7.5 Lakhs and is less than other private institute providing the same course.

For extra-curricular activities, the college punctually conducts various sports tournaments and competitions every year. The college also hosts several workshops, conferences, seminars and other talk shows related to their course or any other social issues.

Yes, I have opted for hostel facilities here. The total fees for hostel is Rs 9000/- for 10 months, same for both boys and girls. The facilities which are provided to hostel boarders are 24*7 water and electricity supplies, AC rooms, gym facilities etc. I would rate the hostel infrastructure and facilities a 10/10.

Students in this institute are selected on the basis of entrance exam. As I had completed my graduation in the particular field from a recognized college, I filled applications of several college for post graduate in diploma. Before admission I had to give entrance exam which was the CAT exam and on the basis of my scores I was selected for the Group Discussion and later for Interview and finally got the admission.

Faculties here are really good and well-educated as well. The best thing about XIME is the experienced and knowledgeable professors it has on board, that can guide students for their better career as well as future. The practical they conduct are quite amazing and full of expertise.
