Remarks

It's a good college with good infrastructure for the students who really want to succeed in their life and for those who are serious about their studies. It has special librarary, computer lab, and other labs for the different courses offered under the society like management, engineering, pharmacy, MCA, nursing, b.ed etc. College has all the facilities and it maintains the required standards as per governing agencies like aicte, NBA etc.

Entrance Preview

ICET, don't remember the rank but scored around 60percent. It has good infrastructure, best faculty I ever met n top colleges I'm Hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

HRM was my elective and d curriculum was lastest at that time as compared to other universities. The deliverables from the faculty members was of great use to understand the subject as their way of dealing the subject was holistic with focus on both practical as well theoretical. The course encouraged teaching accompanied by live cases, games, role plays etc. Which encourages and triggers out off box thinking to solve the problem, pragmatic thinking, lateral thinking, creative thinking which makes one to take right decision under any given circumstances. The knowledge incorporated opens new vistas to the life of students like me and enlightens one with the power of wisdom. It was focused on making the students ready to enter the market with requisite skills needed in the corporate as the syllabus was upto date with new addition of relevant topics as per the market requirement. There were new subjects and new syllabus was added for existing one give as the experience of the world outoff campus life. The new topics encouraged students to search web portals and other information sources like data bases as they were not available in already existing books. This made students to read more on the new topics as nothing was available in so called guides like spectrum, vision etc. This made the learning more adventurous and intersting as we students has too find more n more sources to clearly understand the contemporary topics. Although not many students were happy about such type of teaching and learning experience but it helps one to explore the quest of knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

The internship gave me an opportunity to get hands on experience on how the corporate work, their culture and new technologies in the market. The knowledge, skills developed through internship was more important than stipend, so it never mattered much.

Placement Experience

3.5

I was the first student to be laced with Infosys BPO in my batch and many of my classmates were also placed in good companies.

College Events

4

During my tenure at college i have participated in one national conference n I was host for the program with one off my classmate and also participated in annual cultural feast shezny. The event was celebrated on large scale with guest from tollywood, states level ministers were also invited with DJ night at the end of the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was around 24k and an additional fee of 10k for infrastructure development, excluding examination fee per semester. The examination fee was around 800per semester. The fee as suc may not appear very high but in the country like ours, many students will not be able to bear the burunified me students were able to pay through educational loans through bank or government scholarships in the case of reservation category etc. Apart from this fees students have to bears cost of books, dress and other stationary, living expenses etc. As our Constitution n many governments acroos the globe talk about free education, equity of education etc but the reality of education system and structure should change. And universities revises its fee structure year after year and each college increases its fee as it becomes old, if such discretion of fee exist from university to university, institute to institute then the possibility of universal education and equity of education remains unfulfilled. I am writing all this as within our educational society of my college has two different institute affiliated to two different universities with different fee structure. So it was a situation of dilemma for students like me why my friend are paying less / high for same degree that we get at the end as the case may be. Such discretion should be devoived from the system to encourage free education and equity in education. The fee reimbursement scheme by government have some relief to few students who were the beneficiaries of it. Each education institute should provide required financial assistance to encourage economically backward section of society to come forward and reap the benefits of higher education which will improve the standard of living and leads to overall economic development. Governments should take initiatives to promote higher education which is unified and affordable for all the sections of the society which will transform developing country into developed India. The second year fee structure was increased by 2k and others remaining h constant except an additional fee was collected for final memorandum of marks and for convocation certificate, project fee, binding of rough and final projects etc were some extra cost that every student has to bear. Institute S should try to cut down some the fees or cost incurred to study particular course to ensure there is some reduction of burden on the students and their family members.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarship were available which needs to be applied through college but no specific scholarship or loans from college end.

Campus Life

4.5

The college has good infrastructure and encourages curriculum and extra curricular activities for overall development of students with good mix of students from north and south of India.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was a non border student so don't have any idea about hostel facilities. But I can share the experiences of my classmates who resided in hostels. Hostel was provided to girls students only and entry was restricted to boys. The non local boys have to search their own hostels or share room with other classmates. The plight of female students who lived in was not soo good with many restrictions to go around the city for any work personal or professional. There were many complaints about the food and facilities as the case with many hostels in our country. The fee charged was high which was not up to the mark as promised at the time of admission as the case with many educational institutes in our country. Many students faced psychological depression due to home sickness as they were way from home but my college supported such students through counselling sessions. The hostels have an attached healthcare centre to provide medical facilities in case of emergencies and any type of disease along with an ambulance around the corner with qualified female doctor, nurses and wardens. The security of hostels were monitored throughout dag and night to avoid any fatal indecent to occur. The hostels were regularly inspected by hostel committee every fortnight and the menu of the hostel mess was revised every week to avoid boreddom and provide good facilities to girl student.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much focus in given on this aspect. Mr. Mani sir took great efforts to form alumni for our college as he realised from the experiences of many world renowned institutes like Harvard for which many funds flow through its alumni. Due to his sincere efforts alumni of my college was initiated but I doubt now whether it's being maintained with the same spirit or not as I don't get any updates of alumni activities or annual alumni meets. If it is there more efforts should be put into reach as many alumni as possible as it gives college an opportunity to get new recruitments, internships, funds etc. The important thing to keep the data base of all alumnia and keep it updated each and every year, encourage alumnia get to gathers, meets as an annual event which can be attended by large number of ex students. It is not only the duty of college but also the students to overlook these network keeps on increasing day in and out. And I thanks flipkart for this opportunity which made me to introspect my commitment towards my college as an alumnia of my college which just skipped my list of things to do which I preached in my text. This gives me a chance to correct my actions towards my college and also towards other great things to be remembered throughout my life like my teachers, friend and the moments of joy, happiness, celebrations, sadness etc. That are best days of my life which I can't forget forever and ever.

Exam Structure

Exams were in semester wise with evaluation focus on practical and theoretical aspects of the subjects offered. It was like easy go Lucky moments for us.

Faculty

4

Best faculty I ever had, who motivated and guided me to build my career. Especially my class coordinator who was always there to overlook my acedemic and extra cirriculum performance apart from giving the tips to learn and make me understand that the subject by sharing practical experience, case studies, management games, business quizzes etc. Other faculty to remember was business communication lecturer who helped me n my friends to improve our communication skills, presentation skills, spoken skills, writing skills and Corporate etiquette. The friendly nature of faculty and there constant motivation helped me and my friends to complete the course with flying colors and settle in good careers. They ensured that we are equipped with lastest knowledge and courses to ensure we don't left behind in this competitive world. The values of integrity, honesty etc were incorporated to be followed through out our life.
