Gaganpreet Singh's Review On Punjab College Of Technical Education - [PCTE], Ludhiana

I took MAT Exam and scored 95 percentile. I also took the Selection Route of the college. It consists of both GD and PI rounds. The Interviewers were very much concerned about who gets a seat in their college. Although, I did not clear the College's interview process. So I had to opt for MAT Selection.As I have titled this review, I wanted to expand my family business ( basically going global). So, I opted for MBA in International Business.

The first year consists of Subjects that are general in category such as Principles of Management, Productions and Operations Management,etc. The specialization comes in the Third Semester. We had subjects like International Finance, International Management, Multilateral Trade Agreements, Languages French + Spanish, etc.

No company came for internship. We had to apply all by ourselves for the Internship. The college encouraged us to work outside Ludhiana. We got evaluated on these points - City of Internship, Stipend offered or not, Pr Placement offer and obviously, your experience.Some students got a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month.

Placements are good. Many companies came for campus placement. The students were fully involved in the placement process. Some of the companies that came Trident Group 13 lacs, Adani 10 lacs, Jaro Education 7-8 lacs ( Placement Mumbai, Delhi).

Diwali, Holi, Independence Day, World Theater Day. British parliamentary Debate is like a culture in PCTE. We invite colleges from all over India in this event. Koshish ( Intra college fest)Ehsaas ( Inter school competition)Alumni Meets with Rock Bands invited 9 This year it was Euphoria.

Very feasible. We have to pay approximately Rs. 45000 per semester excluding the hostel fee, books, etc. We got books issued from the library. We got proper notes from the faculty that were available with in-house stationary.

I do not have any knowledge of the loans provided by the college or any scholarship. But the upper management has great ties with the Industrialists around the town. They are active participants of the Ludhiana Management Association.

Seniors were helpful and helped us in the orientation. We had a pretty good idea of the teachers and their likings and what not regarding the course. Ragging is strictly prohibited. So, there were no such events regarding ragging.

Very dedicated faculty. They were well prepared for their lectures. All of them Post Graduates and most of them PHDs. Others were in the process. We had foreign faculty as well. Our Spanish teacher was from Brazil who had been teaching spanish in Brazil.
