Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is excellent. M.Ed is a 2 year programme and educates you to educate. There is ample scope for learning, as there is exposure to development of curriculum, educational policy development, administration etc.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are very good. We are offered the opportunity to do lots of practicals work and are also offered placement opportunities with NCERT affiliated organizations such as KV schools across the country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for one year is Rs. 6,665 and for both years it is 13,330 for both years. The fee is very nominal and those with low income can apply for scholarships as well. There are some leniencies shown for those with reservations as well.
Campus Life
There are several events that are held, be it cultural, or educational. Sex Ratio is more or less equal, with a healthy male to female ratio. Many students are from central India only. People are generally very nice.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel services are very excellent. The campus is very large and expansive. It is also very green. The food is very tasty and hygienic. The premises are always kept clean. We are expected to follow and maintain the decorum of the institute, though. People who opt for the scholarship have to stay in the hostel.
Admission
There is a common entrance exam which is of primary importance in securing a seat at the Regional Institute of Education. There is an online application process with an application cost of Rs 1000 for Open/OBC and Rs 500 for SC/ST. The admission is done on the basis of scores in CEE, which is conducted by the NCERT. There are only 30 seats in RIE Bhopal.
Faculty
The faculty in general is very good. They are all well qualified professionals who are always at their heels and ready to assist you whenever you require. Many of them have PhD's and the college hires only on the basis of UGC's regulations.
