Poona College of Pharmacy is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra. This College gives the best education at less cost as this College is a semi- govt. Students get good practical skills as teachers are more experienced and motivating. The admission process of college is very easy, you just have to qualify the BVDU entrance exam for B.pharm with good merit to get admission then after the scheduled counseling where the rest of the admission process done. There are fewer placements in technical profile as compared to sales. More companies come for sale profile.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus of PCP is different from Pune university as this more oriented to building skills. Faculty in PCP is experience. Almost all faculties are Ph.D. holders and have patents on their names. Exams are well-scheduled and they also declare results on time.
Internships Opportunities
A student on their own can approach companies for summer internship for 1 month after Sem6. And also in College, there is Public testing laboratory where students can do their internship.
Placement Experience
During the final year of B.pharm companies come to College for placements. Most of the students are went for higher education than a job. Highest package 4.5 lakh per annum. The average package of 2.2 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
PCP offers education at less cost if u got admission through merit. Otherwise, for the non-grant student during 2015-2019 fees was 92000. College notifies you when there is any scholarship like Tata scholarship, Dhariwal scholarship, IPA scholarship, etc.
Campus Life
Generally, the Annual fest held in Jan-Feb every year. There are more opportunities for the student to build skills. PCP has a huge collection of books related to Pharmacy in the library. You will get access to every book. Good management of books anyone can easily find books. There are various extra-curriculum activities on the campus such as poster presentation, model making, NSS, IPA- Pune branch.
