Remarks

Do opt for the college if you get the chance. Stay theoratically and practically sound as you have some lives to save.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well the MBBS course is quite tough, from the first year onwards. It is easy to pass though, but you need to put the very effort in being a good doctor. The emphasis on practicals is great. You got to know how to talk to patients, take history, diagnose them and then treat them. Though MBBS per se is not much research oriented but you could do it if you wnt to, as there is no limit to the medical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4.5

Well it is said, that a doctor (mostly) is never unemploymed if he/she wish to work. There is NO placement facilities by the college itself. 1 year Internship is compulsory in the course, you could choose to do it from other hospitals also if you want to.

College Events

4

The college has an annual fest namely "SPANDAN" usually in the months of April- May. It is like blood to the body. Events of all categories( sports, literary, cultural, informal) form a part of the fest. Other than this there is a state level debate competition in November.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well the fee structure was on the low side uptill 2018 but now the government has increased the same. For batches before 2018 it was approx. 4000-5000 per year(yes, per year) including the various miscellaneous charges, hence quite feasible. Also girls are exempted from paying the tution fees. From batch 2018 the fees has been remarkably increases to about 20, 000 per year(not exact).

Fees and Financial Aid

No. There is usually no requirement. But the government do provide relaxation in fees to All girls. Also tution fees is also exempted from those who can't afford the same.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is cool, the location of the college is in the centre of the city, hence easily accessible. The gender ratio is about M:F::2-3:1. But it is variable since it depends on centralised counselling. The college teams forms part of numerous state and national level sports and literary events. The volleyball team of the college is consistently the BEST among tha national medical fraternity

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes, hostel facility is not the best, spwcially for the first 2 years. Initially we are alloted 2 seater rooms, and later single seater. Word of caution drinking water facility is poor, hence most of the students opt for external sources.

Alumni/Alumna

The network is quite strong. The alumini are in regular touch with each. Also there is a batch gathering after about 10-20 years in the college itself.

Admission

You got to clear NEET UG, and get a decent rank. After that you would be required to undergo counselling, both All India and respective States. Go after a good Government medical college. There are 15% seats in All India Quota and 85% seats in the state quotas.

Faculty

4

The teachers are good. Classes specially occurs for first and second year regularly, but after that it is the practical approach that matters more. Faculty is well versed with there practical knowledge, and it is always great to learn from them. You would be taught most in the Clinical postings.

The curriculum followed by the college is similar to the curriculum of National medical council which offer about the duties of Indian medical graduate. The exams conducted by the administration are moderate to difficult but can be passed if studied regularly. Three semesters are conducted every year and a final university exam is conducted. The passing rates are good.

Placement Experience:

We became eligible for placement after internship. Till internship,we don't have any choice to work anywhere else unless your family own a hospital. After internship,we can join a hospital as mbbs doctor or we can opt for examination like NEET pg or UPSC CMS or M.O. Highest package is 1-2 lakhs per month Lowest package is 50000 per month Percentage of students getting placement -80% My plan is to qualify neet pg and get a high ranked course .
