Remarks
Hte only remark I intend to leave on is that focus should more be on practical learning rather than putting emphasis on classroom lectures.
Course Curriculum Overview
No Indusi specific knowledge was provided. The studies ware mediocre and so were the students. No visits happened and campus placement was very limited. Around 50 got placed out of 210 and most of us got recruited to Jaypee group. Most of the knowledge that each of us had was our own as lectures look like more of a formality. There were some faculty members who were good but most of the management was less helpful and more authoritative.
Placement Experience
In batch of 2010-12 thr number of companies that came for placement were around 5 or 6. No special steps were taken. The placement cell was a place of politics. Not more than 25 percent students got selected in our batch. Apart from Jaypee Group which hired around 35 students no other company hired more than four or five students. Most of the times we were not even informed of the criteria for applying for the interview.
College Events
Every year we did have a cultural festival and it was some event. Bands and performance was something to talk about. Most of us participated or atleast tried to. I myself was a coordinator was Formula one 2012 when I was a second year post grad student. It was a very grand event and people from all over the world were there.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college did provide transperancy. Our college fees was mostly education charge. We did hot some books every semester. Fee was only collected through demand draft and could be paid as a whole or semester wise. No additional amount was paid for the admission. However every semester additional 1500 or more were charged for the examinations.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since I did not apply so I have no idea of any such opportunities existed or not. However one common aspect which I realised in our college was that if any of the parent of the candidate was a part of Jaypee Group some reduction was there in the fees but no idea how much less. Our Annual fees was around 2 lakhs which did not included hostel or any additional charges. We were provided some books every semester.
Campus Life
Campus Life was very ordinary. Since it was a campus shared with bachelor's cour ses too so we can say that diversity wise it was good to have people from every corner of the country. Since we were in the management domain the prospect of labs and extra curricular was very low. We use to have four to five lectures every day so no time was there for anything else. We did have some section wise competitions but that too was limited only till the first year. Like i told you most of the aspects of the College were mediocre except the infrastructure.
Hostel Facilities
No. I have not opted for hostel and stayed outside the college. I took a room and shared with one another student from my batch only. Getting a hostel seat was very difficult since the demand was too high and supply or availability of seats was very few. If I am not wrong only 50 seats were available for Management students.
Alumni/Alumna
On a personal front my interaction with any of Alumni is very limited. Interaction with seniors is good. I have constant touch with few of my seniors who all are very supportive and at a call away but that is special effort by us only.
Admission
I have scored 96 percentile in MAT 2009 so I was called for the interview. Was short on options of a good college and Jaypee Group backing the college were good enough reasons to choose it. Since I got a call for the interview I appeared for one. There was a Group discuss followed by a personal interview and results were declared within a week
Faculty
I am not sure how many lectures we had for each subject but we had a tri semester pattern of examinations so most of the time was spent in class and covering up the courses. Some of the Faculty was good but most of them were very unprofessional. It's not that the faculty was not good enough but the culture was not grooming enough. Most of the faculty was into their forties settling down and seems as if there was no purpose in the lives so doing a job was it all.
