St. Xavier's College Jaipur, BA {Hons.}, Economics

Remarks

St, Xaviers College, Jaipur is good in terms of the values and morals taught to the students, the education imparted and the holistic development of the personality of an individual by engaging them in extracurricular activities and managing college fests etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is good with respect to the subject but it isn't that updated as I speak. We had exams yearly at St. Xavier's. There are internship opportunities available for students, but no campus placements take place in college. Industrial visits take place once a year.

Placement Experience

1

College provides internship opportunities to the students. No placement opportunities are provided in college.

College Events

4

College lets you organize a fest of your particular stream, in which you organize everything, for economics honors, it was synergy, you gain a lot of experience and it can be super fun managing it, and there is a common cultural fest for the whole college 'zest' which is super amazing. There are celebrations of festivals as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is pretty decent and feasible with the number of opportunities provided by the college and the values taught to the students with the good level of education imparted as well, the only downgrade is that the college doesn't provide placements assistance.

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn't provide any scholarships as I've known off, and I didn't apply for an education loan, but you can easily avail education loan if you want because the college is well known in the city of Jaipur.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is a bit small in comparison to the students we have in the college, but the inside facilities and services provided are good. We have many clubs in which you can participate like dance, drama, music, art club etc, and many extracurricular activities like sports events etc also take place regularly in which one can participate.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No. There are no hostel facilities provided by the college, but there are many residential PG's nearby colleges for both boys and just for girls only as well. The rents are not that much and the facilities provided are also good I've heard from some of my friends.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an official alumni meet at the start of the session, and a few in between through you can interact with the alumni of the college.

Admission

St. Xavier's is a brand to get associated with in Jaipur, and because of the brand name and teaching culture, I applied for admission through my 12th marks, as I scored 84% in my 12th. I got called for an interview after I cleared the merit and I got through and get admission eventually.

Faculty

4.5

College starts at 8 in the morning and classes take place till 1:30 or 2:30. 4 to 5 lectures take place in a day and a lunch break is allowed in between at 11 a. m. Teachers are well qualified and have in-depth knowledge of the subjects taught and education imparted is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in arts from my primary class. It is very good subject also have a good opportunity in future as a teacher, social work and media.my passion for human culture and society also force me to select this course.yes this curriculum prepare me for a real world applications because it is related to case studies and intern. Student problem are solved with the help of practical in labs.it also help me to prepare for further academic pursuits it covers foundation and advance topics relate to high level studies. For improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods i should suggest regular update in technology and industry, make the topic clear learning ,give projects and case studies to students.teaching methods can be improved by group discussion, assignment ,use of proper teaching tools . According me semester exam are best for every student.semester exams will not give too much burden on Timming for each semester should be after 6 months.Difficulty level of exam should be wide.To check student thinking power and reasoning also a best topic to improve skills in students.
