Student's Review On Samalkha Group Of Institutions - [SGI], Panipat

I had knowns in the college administration and at that time the IPU admission process was going pretty slow. Regarding the course, I wanted to go into the programming field that's why I choose BTECH in Computer Science.

Our course syllabus had not been updated since 2008. Regarding industrial exposure, we only had one industrial visit in four years. Some faculties were good and some were extremely poor. Faculty, especially in the first two years, was good.

Placements companies that used to come usually needed technical support people and not some developers that most of the batch was aspiring to be. Placements is quite poor, you to need to get a job on your own. You can't rely on the college for it. Most of the good students don't even waste their times on the companies that used to come. There is no alumni network.

Campus Life s quite dull as you don't even have any canteen or cafeteria. Students spend most of their time sitting in the ground. Events used to happen for the first three years and they used to charge students for those events but now those events have stopped as well.

There is a ground which is not at all maintained, Wi-fi works only near the Computer department and library is nice but you only get your course books from there. Equipment labs were there for the required practicals.
