Student's Review On Graphic Era Hill University - [GEHU], Dehradun

I chose this university because first its one the best university in my town and the placement is hundred percent. The faculty base is very good and helping with great qualifications in their field. If any problem occurs that is been sorted as soon as possible. There are more then 50 courses offered to the student and you can choose your best fit as per your interest for which demonstration classes or induction programs are been conducted for students.

The course syllabus was up to date as per the latest guidelines of UGC under section 42 F. No industrial exposure was provided as its done in the last semester and due to the pandemic the college was closed. The faculties were good some names are Dr. Rahul Raj, Mr. Amar Singh, Dr. Kamal Pant, CA. Bijaya Laxmi.

I have done 3 internships. One was paid with urja attars in with 15 percent of the sales and 2 were unpaid done with SBI mutual funds and ADITYA BIRLA industries.

The companies are mostly well renowned MNC's and that come to hire students and mostly the placements are domain related. Information accordingly is mailed to the head of departments of courses for which the company is best suited for and then transferred to students on their class whatsapp group by the HOD. Fhe college also holds an enterpreneur cell for students who want to start their own business or startups which helps them to grow. It also organises schemes for funding students startup who are short of money for their startup.

The college organises various, cultural, technical events etc. Various seminars for each dept. are organised by specialists. The activities are organised accordingly as for the interest of each and every kind of student. The activities are organised by students with help.of faculty members with build a sense of responsibilty, team work on students.

The college offers 10 percemt scholarship for girl child it is availed by every girl. Then comes scholarship depending upon your school boards results. It is availed by those students who have fulfiled a certain criteria of achieving those marks in their boards. The hill university also offers 25% discount on tuition fees to uttarakhand students if they have proper domicile and documents. Its their choice to go either for deemed or hill university. Deemed does not offer this facility where as hill does.

The infrasture is amazing with total 15 computer labs each with 100 computers. Library is equiped with best books for every subject and other interest books as well. For technical and science students it has the best labs and most latest machinery to do practical work with.

I am a localite so did not opt for hostel but as heard from friends who were hostelers they were pretty much satistfied with everything. The food, the laundry the warden and everything as there as rules for everything going out and coming back. Infact a dispensary is also available for hostelers.
