Remarks
Being a government College its fee is very less. Plus they give scholarships to meritorious students. The environment is good. Teachers are also good but opportunities for exposure are very meager. I went to this college because it was a good option available in Amritsar.
Course Curriculum Overview
For the BSC course faculty is good. But they are not very keen on teaching students. One has to study mostly on its own. No science trips were provided. Curriculum is based on Guru Nanak Dev University's guidelines and exams are external.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are very poor. For home science, students' internship opportunities are available in different ways. There is a non-working placement cell. science students get no placement or internship opportunities. This college lacks behind in terms of exposure.
College Events
Sports meet,teej, etc are the few events celebrated there. Youth festival conducted by gndu is also good. Different colleges participate. There are no freshers. Rather it has talent search examination for freshers.Otherwise, various days like earth day, women's day, etc. are celebrated well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is available for meritorious students. One has to fill the form during admission. For reserved category candidates fee is very minimal. Various other scholarship schemes are also available for students.
Campus Life
Sports facilities are good but due to long lectures science students gets no benefits. Otherwise, it has different kinds of sports and well-trained staff. The wifi is there only for faculty and official use. The library is well stocked with a variety of books. It is well ventilated and very peaceful. It has two floors.
Hostel Facilities
Hotel building is very old.It has three sharing and twin sharing rooms.it has a nice lawn.mobile phones are strictly not allowed. Students are not allowed to go back home on their own. Someone from the family has to come.This is something which no student likes.
