Remarks

I got admitted into this college after having selected in counseling process of NEET. College has it's own eminence in the field of dentistry. Being the first college in whole southeast asia scored well on the national ranking. The college seniors are very friendly and helpful. This is a government college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college follows the latest syllabus with highly experienced teachers from whole over the nation. The college focuses on both practical as well as theoretical approach for the studies. The curriculum of 5 year consist of 16 subjects with compulsory 1 year internship.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 7900 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are mainly based on the quality of work we do it in hospitals,Many of them start their own chambers, some get housestaffship by the college or in other government hospitals. Some go for higher education.

College Events

We do many activities from college events to sports and picnics. The college also holds annual fest ( fully funded by the college). College usually holds inter college as well as intracollege events like dance, sports, signings, public speaking, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided to the OBCs, SC and ST by the west Bengal government. Various others option are available for the economically weaker sections of the society. Everything is well taught by the administration about the scholarship pattern.

Campus Life

Campus is fully developed ( work still going on for the latest infrastructure). The campus consists of 24hr CCTV protection, well equipped library, sports equipments, separate labs for all the departments.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is newly built with all the amenities. The hostel is 7 storey for both (separate) boys and girls part with each floor having 10 rooms ( 3 students in each room). All the emergency services are available. Average fee ( presently ) is rupees 144 annually. The hostels are easily available on the basis of distance from home.

This course comprises of huge syllabus . This curriculum is a great help as it teaches us the introductory part in 1st yr then the pre clinicals in 2 nd yr and gtom 3rd year we start our interaction with the patients. Course Curriculum Overview:

The teachers are very supportive and we have practicals and Clinical postings from 3rd year. We are given 10 patients each from 3rd year to treat. I think instead of two exams we must have two small weekly tests so that our memory power can increase.

Our college is a dental college and it doesn't offer placements but it does offer 1 year of internship and 1 year of house staff ship . payment of intern and house staff is pretty handful . You can apply fot governments jobs afterwards

Life of a mediocre student at KSD Jain Dental College & Hospital

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.

About college life

All the recent updates regarding the stream are quickly incorporated. All varieties of problems are looked after with care.
