I cleared Karnataka CET and scored 52% marks. I heard that this college has the best mechanical engineering faculty in the locality. Also, the college is located in the outskirts of the city which gives a peace of mind to study for students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is set by the university VTU Belgaum. The electives offered were Theory of elasticity, Operation Management, Automobile Engineering, Fluid Mechanics.
Internships Opportunities
Basically, there was no internship as such during this course. Per the mandate from the university, only final year students were permitted to do their project work at an organization. I did my final year project in HAL Foundry and Forge division Bangalore.
Placement Experience
Out of 240 throughout all 4 different branches in the college only 90 were placed in different companies. The companies that visited were Aditya auto parts, Infosys. The packages were ranging from 3.0-5.0L CTC.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is on an average of 40000/- INR per year. Which is bit expensive for a middle class family to afford. Merit students were given seats at the rate of Rs. 20000/-INR per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Personally, I studied by taking a loan from some of my relatives. College used to provide some scholarship to students from backward communities. They were paid around 18000/- per year as scholarship, which would help such candidates in paying their college fees and meeting their educational needs.
Campus Life
The gender ratio seems to be 8:10 (Girls:Boys), Hostel parties were a must over each month. Students were encouraged to attend conferences, seminars organized at various colleges. The college used to sponsor students in attending such events. The college had zero tolerance for ragging.
Alumni/Alumna
The yearly program is a wonderful event to meet and greet the alumni . This event is very successful and would be one of the trendsetter in having alumni-college engagement activities. Also, the alumni entrepreneurs can contribute to the college in hiring few candidates from the college.
Exam Structure
Each semester involves 6 subjects to study and examinations based on it. Also 2 labs with examinations for this one too. The labs were pretty engaging and were more helpful to the students in developing their talent.
Faculty
As mentioned ibid, the standard of the faculty is at par excellence. There were around 15 faculty from various reputed organizations. They were very helpful and very encouraging to the students. The staff friendly and humble towards their students.
