Remarks :

I love the subject Psychology as it deals with mind and mental processes. Nowadays there are many people facing a lot of mental issues. Many people try to deal it by themselves, like stress, anxiety and sadness as there is always a stigma that hinders their approach to counsellors. But it may lead them to be vulnerable and can cause negative effect. I feel i have the responsibility to take care of people's mental health and lead their lives to normal. But in Kerala there are only few colleges providing this course and one of them is St Teresa's College. As it is a Prestigious Institution and is infamous for the extra curricular activities it provides I am proud to be part of this Teresian Family.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As this course was started in 2016, we faced many difficulties to make it established. M.G University syllabus was followed but the faculties were all new and less experienced. Even the HOD didn't have a Doctorate degree. Many teachers had only a PG and a total of only 4 teachers constitute the psychology department. External exposure was less compared to other departments as the department was only started and they didn't give any proper internship in the final year. Just a 5 day internship, of our choice.

Placement Experience :

As Psychology is a course that needs further education to get a job related to this field, most of the students are going for higher studies. There are many companies from all over India providing placement. One of my friend from another department has placed in Mumbai as HR manager.

College Events :

There are many fests and seminars conducted by different departments. Many extracurricular activities are conducted like Art's Club inauguration, Teresian week and College Day. Many high famed guests are invited for inauguration and to be part of the programme. We also take part in youth fest and other fests conducted by other colleges in India.

Campus Life :

Excellent infrastructure, sports facilities and wifi. Library is wide and has over 3 lakh books but psychology related books are less. Lab equipments for psychology department was poor. Enough equipments are not there for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If we talk about curriculum, it is pretty much good. It includes things that should be brought in front of students and that help to improve the student's basic knowledge of these topics. From this year onwards the usual 3 year degree has changed and now it is four years with an honors degree.

Exams are usually approachable. The tutors also provide 3 internal exam throughout a semester. So we can easily approach the main exam. The university exams are a little bit difficult too. But as per it is maths it has its own difficulties but we can manage it
