Remarks

The management is that of JNVU. The institute is a cash cow for the university and hence not much of investment happens from the JNVU front into the institute.

Entrance Preview

RPET. Admissions now happen through AIEEE. Ranked around 900, This was the best option available after MNIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4 Years. 1st year is common to all and rest 3 are functional specialisation. Includes two industrial projects of 100 days and one industrial tour. Includes a combination of theory and practical.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is to be arranged solely by the student with zero support from the institute. The industry experience however was fantastic. Provided a huge learning opportunity and puts one ahead in terms of domain knowledge. Highly recommend this.

Placement Experience

Placements are decent with key IT companies like TCS, IBM, Adobe visiting. In addition key companies from Civil and Mechanical domains also visit the campus.

College Events

There are a few clubs like debating, technical and there is an annual technical and cultural festival. Seminars and conferences too happen at sporadic intervals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is inexpensive. Given the association with JNVU, its very subsidised. Fees for females is subsidsed and the IT deptt is self financed.

Loan facilities are offered by the bank. A few scholarships do exist but not sure how much are the quantums and what are the payout mechanisms.

Campus Life

Extracurriculars aren't formalised and hence are limited. Though opportunities exist. The exposure happens more from participation in festivals of other institutes.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are average. A few new hostels have come up and there have been recent improvements in facilities. But from a hygiene point they are not good. People generally stay out of hostels.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Multiple forums exist but nothing is official. Very limited alumni interactions. Completely depends on ones networking abilities. Certain alumni chapters exist on facebook etc.

Exam Structure

No. Its a semester system with 8 sems. The schedule and syllabus is relaxed and not much to worry about. Generally its the last few days of rigour which helps one sail through.

Faculty

While the faculty is very limited, all of them are extensively experienced with their expertise areas. Pros: Experience, expertise, depth of subject knowledge. Cons: Govt college mentality. Professors don't take classes. Expect students to take tuitions at their home (which it is belived assures scores in practicals).

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

Is LNMIIT worth the fee?

Placement Experience:

about 90 percent people get placed and the rest goes for masters or become enterprenuers. Top companies that visit campus are Samsung ,BNY,Flipkart etc.Highest package goes upto 1.3 cr with average of 13lpa and median of 12lpa.

SKIT- The overall package

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible after 4th semester for placements. There are many companies that have visited like Vipro, IBM, TCS and many more among the 150 companies that visit the campus. THe highest offer made was to a senio of mine of about 43 lpa and the average package is of about 5-6 LPA. The lowest package offered was of about 3 LPA. About 90 percent of students get placements and if for any reason i do not get placed, I would try for CDS that is the armed forces of India

Mbm university reality

The other colleges I applied for skit and I got computer science there but it is next round I got MBM at I choose MBM because of the low fees and the eliminating eliminary network of MBM is very very strong also I applied for NIT but I am not eligible for NIT the admission process of my colleges simple you have to apply in the MBM through reef counselling and when you get selected you have to the submit your document share....Read More

You should choose MBM or not ?

I also applied for jecrc foundation in jaipur , and i got CS+Ai there , but then in next round i got mbm electrical . I choose this college over jecrc because that was a private college and mbm is government . And also the fees in jecrc is twice as compare to mbm . And i want to have a option of gogvernment field also so electrical will be much better option . I wanted to go to NIT but i didn't get that much good score in jee ,so i was left with this state college option only . The admission proccees is quite simple , you have to apply to reep counselling , and then you have to do reporting in this college with required documents as mentioned on reep site . 91 percentile is required in jee to get electrical branch in mbm for a general ews student...Read More
