Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is based on the nationalised entrance examinations. Each year consists two semesters. There are more opportunities towards the research field. There are not any industrial visit for the students, but they get facilities to visit other universities and research Institutions. Yes, this university has a lot of role in making my professional life better.

Placement Experience

The placement is very good because many of the alumni are placed in very good universities, colleges and industries. Internship program can be availed by the students and the teachers encourage for availing this scope.

College Events

The university organizes many Nationalised seminars and symposiums. Every year cultural events are celebrated in pomp and show. Food festival is a new type of event which has been introduced in the university. Almost all the students participate in the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for a middle class student, but it's somewhat expensive for poor. The program fees are taken annually once. The mode of payment is via demand draft. No, any extra charge is not needed for to be paid for securing an admission. Yes, the university shows transparency in the fee-breakdown.

I haven't opted for any education loan or scholarship. The university does not provide any scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus is very calm and quite. The campus has lots of fauna and and flora. Gender ratio is almost 2:1 female: male. The labs are open everyday for the research scholars. Every year the university conducts a sports competition among all the departments.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, all the alumni are very helpful towards their juniors and the university also. They take part in some extracurricular events.

Admission

I have qualified national level examination, so I was exempted from the entrance exam. Then I got interviewed and got selected. The admission process was very streamlined. I got admitted on 1st August 2019. As I have passed my MSc, I got eligible for this course.

In my course there are five lecturers. All are of different age groups, the average is 40. All have done their doctorate degree and some have done post docs. Some have expertise on cancer biology and cell culture techniques, some have on wildlife biology, and some have on toxicology and molecular biology.

Admission to PHD students is only possible when they will qualify the entrance test which is followed by an in person interview round. No specific age limit is there for the phd course. The application can either be filled on the official portal or in the institutional office.

It is mandatory that candidates should have passed their M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm./ M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in life sciences and allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Chemistry/ Microbiology, etc.) with minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade point). Programming/scripting experience would be a plus for candidates interested in Bioinformatics. Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, however, if shortlisted, they have to produce their final mark sheet on the date of the interview, failing which they will not be interviewed.
