Remarks

Our college management has few flaws but they try to improve it by conducting open interactions with us. It is improving with time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is quite moderate. Our internal assessment consists of 2 tests containing 10 marks each and a research paper submission of 20 marks and then an external examination is conducted for 60 marks. For the research assignments, there is a strict policy for plagiarism which is monitored through turnitin, which keeps us authentic as well as strengthen our researching skills. Also, we have several cells in our college and many events like guest lectures, internal moot courts, mediation competitions, conferences etc.

Placement Experience

3

Our college have a strict policy on doing internships every sem which means at least 10 internships throughout the course. Although, there is a placement cell and a option for the students to obtain internships from t&p cell but it's better to find on your own if you want quality internships.

College Events

3

There are several events celebrated in our campus- our annual fest 'Symineret', the National Moot Court Competition, few national conferences and various internal events like mediation competitions, quiz, debates, mock parliamentary debates etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's quite expensive actually and there is a increase in fees every year. Although the campus is residential, so our fee structure includes hostel and mess charges also. The mode of payments accepted by the college is through NEFT or, internet banking. The college authority sends a bulkmail to the students stating the breakdown of the fee structure and the mode of payment almost a month before the last date of payment and it charges late fees of 100 rs/day.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college only offer a 10% off to the University topper. Other than that, there is no option for any scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio in our college is 3:1 for girls and boys. Girls are in majority. Also, our college has a cultural troupe and various cells for extracurriculars and organises various events and workshops. The sexual orientation is quite good here as I'm very proud to declare that people in our campus keeps an open mind towards everything. The logo of symbiosis contains 'vasudhaiba kutumbakam' means world is our family and for a campus which contains students from all over the world, it's easy to say that we abide by it.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Our campus is residential so, hostel is mandatory. There is a strict policy of signing an outpass if we need to go somewhere. We need to get a slip and get it signed by the hostel warden and campus admin and in order to get it signed by them, they require a mail of approval by our parents. Also, the policy of checking at Gate is very strict.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful. Our campus has a history of no ragging for years. Our seniors are quite friendly and they guide us through.

Admission

Well, to be honest, symbiosis is a known name in legal fraternity. I've heard so much about this Institute that I was quite excited to be a part of symbi family. Symbiosis has it's own separate entrance called SLAT. It is a two-step process- first, a written test and if you score more than the cut-off, you become eligible for the second round, the PI-WAT exam. PI-WAT consists an interview and an writing ability test. Based on these two rounds, a merit list is released and admission is provided based on individual ranks.

Faculty

3.5

Facilities are good but as the campus is located in a remote area, it tends to cause changes in faculty members every semester, which creates a little problem for the students. Other than that, we have visiting faculties and guest lectures to support our curriculum.
