Review about BDU

Overall it was a great experience studying at a University where we had a different experience than in a typical college.

It's Mostly research driven. Few subjects have to be self leant and students have to take seminars in classrooms. The subjects are more relevant to the department we choose. But the first year of the course will have the same course for all departments.

When we finished our course there were no campus interviews. But not sure if they have arranged campus interviews right now.

Kshatriya is the main event. It's a cultural fest where at least 30 colleges participate and show their talents. Other symposiums will also be conducted periodically. But this is mostly based on the respective department we choose. Each department will have its unique celebrations.

Since it's a Government University fees structure is very much feasible. Students will also get the scholarships that are provided by the Government. Fees are collected for each semester. And also exam fees will be there. And there will be lab fees

No, I haven't availed anything. But there are scholarships available for the students which are allotted by the government based on the caste system.

The University is a large campus with lots of trees and it will feel fresh always. Labs are there for each department. Each department will have its own competitions and cultural festivals, seminar presentations and etc. BDU Fest is a big celebration for the whole University where more than 150 College participate and will happen for 3 - 4 days.

Yes, I was staying in a hostel. Hostel rooms are soo spacious and mostly 3 sharing. Where you have to pay monthly for the food. It will come around 2k. WiFi will be provided in the hostel. The hostel is one of the best parts of the University which will be like a second home.

Most of us all still in contact. We contact each other in case if we need any help. But there is no official alumni network in the department.

In May we wrote the Entrance exam. And the mark is calculated based on the mark we score in the entrance exam and also the 12th standard marks taken in certain Percentage decided by the University Board. In one month they will announce the marks online or on the University Board. Then in a couple of days, counselling will happen.

Totally 10 faculties and 4 or 5 Guest Lecturers. All are well experienced with more than 10 years of experience in the relevant field. The Guest Lecturers will be having 4 years of experience or more. And there will be network admin and lab maintenance staff personals.
