Remarks

Need some freedom for students. Encourage students ideas. Let students take over some tasks by themselves.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exams. Students were selected based on their HSC cut off marks. If the cut off is too low, you can get admission throught Management Quota and some donations.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum was decided by Anna University, Chennai. It was updated every 5 years, leaving off some basics. It was more theoretical and less practical.

Internships Opportunities

Only few of the below recruited companies below offers internship. The Stipend was between 10000 to 15000. There is nothing called a college internship for us.

College Events

1.5

There were two cultural fests per year. College day and Hostel day. The college day was so poor. Students are not allowed to enjoy. There are many restrictions for dance programs and the audience must maintain silence. The Hostel day will be treated so good as parents are allowed to participate in it. They serve very good food and students are allowed to enjoy there. The main reason behind the grand hostel day is to impress parents. There was a Technical fest conducted by each department. It was really great as it was under our department control.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure will be feasible for the counselling students and expensive for the management students. The bus fee and hostel fee was very expensive. Bus fee is about Rs. 25000.Counselling fee - Rs. 40000Management fee- Rs. 80000

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility is only applicable for SC and ST students. The loan facility is available for all counselling students. They will not be provided loan if they have too much of back logs.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life was so strict. Girls and boys are not allowed to speak with each other. Mobile phones are allowed but it must be switched off throughout the day. If it was found switched on. The phone will be broken by the Principal. There was very less extra curricular and sport activities in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities was OK. The mess food was really poor. There is no PGs, houses or anything nearby. You can take rooms 3km away from the college. The room rent will be cheap, but getting food there will be difficult.

Alumni/Alumna

I have heard from the Alumni that, this college was so strict during their days. They all requested me not to join in this college. But fate, I got into this college without any choice. Inside the department I feel secure, but outside I am not.

Exam Structure

The exams are really hectic. The lab exams are chilled out. The lab exams we can get S grades easily. It is very difficult to write the theory exams. There will be 5 16 mark questions and 10 2 mark questions.

Faculty

4

The faculty in our department are very kind to us. They have motivated us to learn and enjoy. The Prinicpal, Dean etc are against the Electrical Department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has both the benefits of hardware and software domains. The student-faculty ratio is 1609:0. Our ECE Department consists of well-trained staff with more technical knowledge & curriculum. Most of our teaching faculties are professors and Assistant Professors. We will have monthly internal exams on campus.
