Course Curriculum Overview
Our Institute had got recognition from Thiruvalluvar University which has also defined the curriculum and syllabus for various programs. Science based courses are approved by AICTE and are as per national standards. The pattern of examination that the college has adopted is the semester wise pattern of examination whereby the entire course curriculum and syllabus are divided into 6 semester and exams are held at a space of 6 months.
Placement Experience
In terms of placement the college provides skill support that are required to make us more employable in the market and not the actual placement itself. University organised job fairs are there however these are very general in nature and mostly sales kind of jobs are offered there. Thus for good placement one has to make efforts on their own. Internship support is also not provide from the side of college and this is to be managed by the student itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government college the fee is quite manageable and affordable. Annual academic fee is Rs 1,500. This makes the total fee for the entire 3 year duration of the course standing to be around Rs 4, 500.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Thiruvalluvar University offers scholarship to the meritorious student each year. Apart from that students from reserved categories and those from the economically weaker sections of the society are also provided with financial assistance. In case one doesn't get financial support through scholarship then there is always an option for getting educational loan through any of the commercial bank
Campus Life
In terms of extra curricular activities the college has NSS and NCC club which provide us for indulgence in various activities. Apart from that there are opportunities in sports based activities for the students to take part in. Events like the foundation Day, Republic day, Annual fest etc are celebrated by the college. In terms of facilities the college has good classrooms powered by e-learning support and a nice library and playground and all the other necessary things that one looks for in a college.
Admission
Admission to my college is done based on the score of the state level common entrance test that is conducted annually. I appeared for the exam and qualifying that I made an application to this college for the B.Sc programme. Once my application was accepted I was called for the procedural formalities and the admission was confirmed. One reason for opting to this college was that it is known for its Science programs and since I wanted to pursue UG in Chemistry I went for it.
Faculty
Faculty member in our college are quite experienced. Unlike most of the government college teachers they are not rude or arrogant rather they are helpful and generous to the cause of students. There idea is to make learning easier for us so that doubts are cleared then and there in the classroom.
