Sarath's Review On Government Polytechnic College - [GPC], Palakkad, Palakkad

This college is good in academics and extra curriculam activities. But the building is since 1980s so some cracks are seen between walls.In April water is a major problem in here.Supply exam fees are to be paid by students who have supply.

Curriculam is well and the syllabus following is very easy to learn.Here they offer 50% consideration for practical and other to theory.There will be 6 semesters and Every semesters has minimum 4 months study period.After every single semester the exams will be conducted.

There is a placement cell.They collect our data through department heads and they share our data to companies who wants new recruitment.Interviews are taken by companies and if we are selected they report it to the placement cell.MRF,VKC,TVS,MAHENDRA,ASHOK LEYLAND etc are regular companies.The internships are in 5th semester.we can have a 15 day workshop in any company.

Election, union inauguration,arts,sports,film festival, farewell These are celebrated every year.Election is the most exciting one.Here all political parties are allowed and they are conducted in very confidentially.

E-grant is the best scholarship provided by government.There are other scholarships to help the students in studies.E-grant is applied online and all documents required is collected and submit on college office

Every year arts and sports are conducted. Everyone can participate and also the winners will get the chance to participate in the interpoly arts and sports. Lectures and union is very supportive and they take full advantage to raise us.

Alumni is an active group here.The members often visit the college and shared their memories with us.They share their experience and motivate us to get a better future. Alumni group also helps financially for college maintenance.

We have to apply online first through polyadmission.org.There is a rank list provided according to 10th mark also there will be a credit point.Students which have highest credit point will get admission in first allotment and others have chances in next 3 allotmentments.Some of the seats are reserved to backward caste,NCC, sports etc.

Now college provides maximum faculties.Total appearance is changing and I'm sure the future students will have a wonderful experience there.The laboratories and workshops are modernising and new equipments are installed.
