East West College

College is good in all aspects. Infrastructure is good and supports all learning and all activities. lecturers are supportive and help learn better. Cultural activities bring out the talent side of students. Only disadvantage is some years placements can be very feeble and some years it is very good.College should be stable on this.

CET(Common Entrance Test) . I Completed my PUC(+2) from Jain College , Bangalore by the year 2006 and wrote CET to get shortlisted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority(KEA) and got a ranking of 13K from all over karnataka. I chose this college as its Coaching is good.They have good job placements available post graduation.

I chose Computer science as my elective. i.e Bachelor of engineering in computer science.It included Software Engineering, Computer networking, C, C++, Java, .net as a part of curriculum. First year of engineering involved electricals, electronics, civil , mechanical concepts to start with engineering.

Companies include : IBM : 3lpa, Infosys: 3.5lpa, Staples: 3lpa, TCS: 3.5lpa, WIPRO: 3.6lpa, Global edge: 2.5lpa, HCL: 3lpa, Microland: 2.6lpa, Telibrahma: 3lpa, Accord Software: 3.8lpa.

Placements happen both within campus and as off campus. Every year there are wide range of companies visiting the campus recruting many job seekers. There are placements both of service and product oriented companies for all students.

Every year Sports meet, Rose Day, Independence day, teachers day, Saraswathi pooja, holi, ganapathi pooja, culturals, dance, college fest take place. There are multiple events for talent exhibition.There are also many fairs for science fest, workshops on cultural, technical, technological events.

Fee structure is fixed by government.it was 28k every year. This would be reduced if student has scholarship as per marks scored. 28K + 5k for college charges.Exam time : 1500 for exam fees.

Scholarship was made available for a set of students scoring better marks. Scholarship was offered ranging from 5k - 13k

Hostel fees costed 8k per month included of all maintenance, Mess food was just ok. Not too good. Food court had better food but had to pay additional money.Hostel food must stil be better .

Every independence day alumini students are invited and allowed them to share there experiences outside college and also they refer us to many job opportunities. They provide workshops on multiple concepts including technical concepts to how to behave in an organisation.

We had internals tests every monthleaving us with 3 internals and an average of the three would be accounted for externals. External exams were scheduled well in advancesince the preparations were good for internals , externals were not hectic.

Faculty included all Engineering and M.Tech graduates and experienced lecturers. Some Ph.D lecturers handled very good concepts in the curriculum, Every lecturer had good experience in teaching and helped understand every concept in a clear manner. They never refused to explain and clear doubts. Lecturers were always supportive and would stretch and work to help us understand in better way. We were provided with additional practical classes to help us understand concepts better.
