Course Curriculum Overview

The course is for four years and after the competition of the course a student nurse become a well practiced and efficient nurse. It's all due to the practical knowledge get from mother hospital as well as the well prepared curriculum. This curriculum is prepared by a group of medical team. It's include the whole sides of medical,social, human care. As part of community nursing industrial visit, tribal visit, old age home visit etc. are conducting. After completing the course, many of them selecting the mother hospital for job.

Placement Experience

Our institution provides job placement for every students in the mother hospital. Also here many higher options for continuation of study. College conducting personality development classes and support for all compitatice exams

College Events

Lamp lighting ceremony is the first program conducting for the students. It's the coating of a nursing student and taking the oath. It's a wonderful experience, why because the journey starts from there. Even in the tight schedule of curriculum, college conducting sports, arts, nurse's day, college day etc. Every program will be colorful with the highest participation of students, faculties,guests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College is under a co. operative management for the great memory of Kerala first chief minister EMS namboothiri. Fee is only based on the approval of Kerala gov. And other expences comparatively less than other colleges. The fee payment is annually. For the students from poor background there is options for payment.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide facility for bank loan. Each year they do the needful for that. Also for scholarship.

Campus Life

Each batch contains 50 student s with no discrimination of color, cast,gender, economic etc. Even though a female oriented profession male students also join for the courses.College focus on both curricular and extra curricular activities.Im sure the campus life will be a great experience to everyone

Hostel Facilities

College has hostel facility near to that. It is a well structured building. 24 hour water, electricity available. Each room has 3bed, table, almirah, chair etc. All facility for learning. Rent is 1000 per month

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Each student has a lot of experience with their seniors in clinical setting. They are really helpful to know new things. EMS college alumni is a well established and good working.

Admission

Service is my passion. So I think nursing is the most apted profession for a person like me. I had hear about EMS college earlier -NABH accredited multy super specialty hospital. I was not sure about the admission. Based on the 12th marks, I gave application. After some days I got a postal from ems college. That was a good news. The college welcome me to took part of its academics.

Faculty

About 25 permanent faculties are there in nursing department. Also there is some external faculties. We have no doubt that the management give us very brilliant, energetic, supportive faculties. All of them are knowledgeable in their field. They explore each learning opportunities to us. Most of them are with in the age group of 30_40 and has degree, PG and even MPhil holders are there. Nursing as a human oriented profession, it always hold relievent experiences.

Likes

our management always focus on students welfare
Good facilities in hospital setting and good supervision
Extracurricular activities likecultural fest sports day ,flash mobs etc

Dislikes

There is more girls than boys in my class
No enough class rooms at present but they are building new building for upcoming batches
Some times its feel like trs were more stressing on students

The curriculum is planned by the class cordinator with the help of principal.they arrange all the monthly and sessional exams They also arrange the practical side also after completing the theory block

Likes

Campus and infrastructure are excellent.
Staff and facilities are very friendly and approachable
Good clinical exposure for students on every department

Dislikes

No stipend is provided on internship is the major drawback
Lack of permanent faculty in several department.
Prolonged posting hours without any stipend

Course Curriculum Overview:

The coming age scenario of ophthalmic diseases requires latest technologies and knowledgeful health care providers in the society.In this scenario Bsc Optometry graduates are required in the field of diagnosis, treatment, management of ophthalmic patients.

Likes

College have a beautiful view and it's looks soo eco-friendly and class rooms have AC/air conditioner and have a regular maintenance of class rooms and college surrounding,
Teaching faculty are nice and they help us clear doubts in every time , 50% of teachers are very friendly
College have a great review in post course interviews and it helps more to get job after the course

Dislikes

50% of college faculty are strict and they are very negative, like they make us mentally depressed

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it have a 100% job chance and also it's a medical profession,so it's scope doesn't lose Curriculum is relevant and it's really helpful for our real world applications and as we know it have a more practical approach than theoretical because it's a nursing profession. Course curriculum is very hard like we have a lot of assignments for writing,we get mentally ill after this course, we got no time for mental relaxation I feel like drop the course Teaching methods used in college are ppt presentation and real approaches because it's a nursing profession Theory class we get completed in 2 mouths , the whole syllabus will get completed like a bullet train and the next 3 mouth gonna be practical/clinical study Even in clinics the hardest is assignments, around 450 pages in clinics and 150 pages in theory Overall 600 page assignment is written in one semester Two Internal Exams are conducted within 2 months

not good campus structure is bad staff are good
situates on a hillly region so transportation have risk

I got admission in this college based on my 12th marks. I am doing BSc nursing in this college. They have total 60 seats for BSc nursing course. Admission is given based on candidates 12th marks. A candidate must have at least 50% marks in physics chemistry biology and english in their 12th standard.

The admission process was easy. The eligibility of the course is biology science in plus two. I was allotted through LBS. So I found application in LBS and application fee was 1000 rupees. I have OEC reservation. So I was allotted through OEC quota. Exams are not easy as compared to plus two or SSLC. Bsc nursing is a professional cours.
