Vaibhav Dixit's Review On Babasaheb Naik College Of Engineering - [BNCOE], Yavatmal

MH-CET is the exam now but in 2001 i got admission based on my marks in 12th exam, I got 81% and had rank in range of 2100.

8 Semesters, first year had common subjects. Most of the course part was old that time. Some main subjects in my branch was EDC, EE, Network, DSP, DCD, CE, OFC.

In those days, there was no option of internship and none was interested in that. I don't know the status of today.Training and Placement department was good for nothing.

In my batch 10-15 guys were selected in campus by Wipro, Infosys and some other companies. Later most of the batch-mates got selected in off campus.

We used to participate in paper presentations and inter college sport events, a week long annual function of college and some cultural events. organized by hostel.

I paid ~50K per year in 2001-2005 this was only college fee. Hostel fee was ~8k for single room. I felt that the fee was higher in comparison to the infrastructure and facilities.

There was no scholarship / loan facility offered by college which i could avail.I think there was some government schemes for locals or SC/ST/OBC but i am not aware of the details.

We were good in sports specially cricket, volleyball and football.In other activities, i did not had active participation so cannot say about them but yes, there was some opportunities for everything and i saw most of us had some option to do some extracurricular activity.

it was a hectic schedule for internal and external exams.We used to do labs minimum 20-25% of the time in college but equipment were old.

Faculty was mostly alumnus of same college, they do not have innovative thinking and mostly followed the path set by their seniors. Now i hear some teachers have gained PHD degree.
