Course Curriculum Overview

4

We learned quite a lot from the course curriculum. It covered a wide array of topics like marketing, legal studies, resource management, etc. Market research was my favourite one, in which we learned about data gathering and analyzing that data for understanding consumer behaviour.

Placement Experience

4.5

The training and placement cell is dedicated to bridging the gap between students and recruiters. From pre-placement training to campus placement drive, the placement cell is active throughout the year. They organize guest lectures, provide assistance for the internship process. The average packages offered are around 3 LPA, which was decent for an entry-level job. Companies like Idea, IBM, Wipro, Genpact, etc. were most active during my batch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee was around 1.27 lacs INR, which was on par with many good management colleges. In total, I paid around 2.5 lacs for the course. There were no hidden charges. On top of that, the return on investment is also pretty good for this program. Being from a minor category I availed relaxation in the fee.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Well, furnished accommodation facilities are offered to the students, with security being the top concern for the management. The entire hostel is equipped with well-furnished furniture and all the basic amenities. Mess food was surprisingly good. I created some pretty good memories in the hostel.

Admission

All the students with a relevant graduation degree are eligible to apply for the MBA program. Students have to apply in the online mode and wait for the merit list. My name was there on the first list. I attended the counselling and interview round, post which we were granted admission.

Faculty

4.5

All of our faculty members were very qualified and had an ample amount of corporate experience. They all were pretty accessible and supportive, as well. The method of teaching was pretty unique and innovative. They explained every topic with live examples. Guest lectures were also pretty informative and an added plus.

Remarks:

UBS is a good college but not extraordinary. If you are willing to put your best effort them this is for you and if you are thinking that you are going to depend on your professors then don't come here. It's not par with IIM ofcourse, discussion of case studies will always depend upon the professor you got. Don't expect much. Good ROI definitely. So if you are happy with an average placement and don't want to take too much stress then this college is for you. But I'm repeating don't left IIM for UBS if it's not necessary.
