Remarks
The college is managed by a trust which focuses more on the private colleges rather than grant in aid colleges. It is an okay college if you need just a degree, but not recommended at all for a wholesome college experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the programme of Bachelor of Business Administration was not updated frequently. It was industry specific but not something that’d make the students ready for current market scenarios. Even all the reference books that were recommended were very old publishes. There were opportunities for on campus placement but not enough. The field trips were not relevant and the college didn’t take the students to really good places.
Placement Experience
There were no grooming sessions for students to prepare them for interviews or placement. Most companies that came for campus recruitment were local, in need of cheap accountants or telephone operators. Less than 20% of students were placed from my batch. The companies followed the same steps in the recruitment drive: Written test, Group discussion and personal interview. Tata Consultancy Services was the only good organisation that came for campus recruitment.
College Events
Business battle, Art and craft competitions, Sports day, Musical evening, Teachers day, Navratri celebration, Valentine week celebration, Republic Day, Independence Day, Delayed, Elocution, Annual Function They were all average size events held inside of the college campus during the day time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a grant in aid college so the fee is really less and there’s relief available to under price placed students. They didn’t take any donation or deposit but just regular Tution fees. Girls pay less fee than the boys. The exam fee is charged separate from Tution fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn’t apply for any loan. My parents paid my fee. It is not a huge amount so there was no burden. I was not eligible for any scholarships since they were not based on performance of the students but instead based on caste and family income.
Campus Life
Computer lab Sports room NCC Room NSS room. Mixed students belonging to different genders, caste, religion, income group were all found and studied in harmony. Although the college had no influence or impact in diversity in any form whatsoever. There were regular debate elocution quiz competition but held and managed by students with the help of college professors but no support of college administration.
Hostel Facilities
No. Although the college had partnered with some colleges near by. There were a lot of complaints regarding availability of water, clean atmosphere, privacy and food. Not recommended at all. Most people left college after the first semester and moved into private accommodation.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are very helpful. They make donations to college so that college can conduct events and programmes for students. They even help in organising trips. Some of the alumni is connected to college administration and management.
Admission
As soon as the results of class 12th are declared, student need to buy an admission form from the college. After going through the details mentioned in the form the college circulates a merit list. The students whose name appear in the merit list are then called for a personal interview.
Faculty
Most of the professors were above 50 years in age. They were very learned, most of them held doctorates but just like the curriculum they were not up to date with the current market scenarios. There was a lack of use of audio visual means in teaching. Due to the difference of age, the communication between teachers and students wasn’t smooth. Most lectures/ professors were full time engaged in education sector only and hence they couldn’t provide a practical insight.
