Koduru Ankitha's Review On Andhra University, College Of Engineering - [AUCE], Visakhapatnam

The management of the college has been working really hard to keep up the organized atmosphere among the students and professors in college. This continued effort will help the college to maintain its position and status and the management would do their best to achieve this. Thus, there always had been good remarks on the management of the college.

I've gone through the EAMCET examination and came out with a good score of about 97/160. My fascination towards Electronics was the main reason that I chose instrumentation over other branches and coming to Andhra University was the best choiceas it is the most popular centre for excellence which stands in 11th position in india and in 151th position in the world.

The subjects are divided into core and elective subjects and each of them is assigned with a few number of credits based on the importance and the depth of the subject. A minimum number of core and elective credits are to be completed within the four years to attain the Bachelors of Technology degree.

Major part of the companies that offer internship are the software companies and they offer stipend over a wide range from 10000 to 15000 per month. The internship experience is very knowledgeable and we earn a lot as there is a lot of exposure to the practical world during these 2 months. Other core companies also do come for internship recruitments.

Nearly 137 colleges are affiliated under andhra university and the placement percentage is above 90. 14 core companies visited the campus along with numerous software companies and offered packages over a wide range from 3 lakhs to 20 lakhs per annum.

The technical and cultural fests are the best part of our college. Fests like IKHYA, ESPECTRA and many activities like AKSHAYA PATRA, EBIO, GISKON which always provide an opportunity for the students to think out of the box and act accordingly the participation in such events leaves behind a good experience and a huge amount of pleasure and satisfaction.

The students need to pay the tution fee once in a year which is about Rs.10000 which is very economic and even a common man can afford to pay it the hostel fee is about Rs.4000 per year where they provide good food thrice a day and also clean and neat rooms scholarships are awarded to students who belong to non creamy layer and also for those who excel in their academic performance.

Scholarships are awarded to the people with low economical income and poor financial backgrounds. These scholarships help them to get the essential requirements to continue their studies without much difficulty.

The gender ratio has been improving over the years. It is almost 1:1 now and there is no gender bias in any aspect of the college. All sorts of discrimination are highly prohibited and you do not even feel the difference of religion or race when you spend the time with the friends in the college. Hostel parties are organised during certain special occasions or during the fests to celebrate and bring the sense of togetherness among the students in the college. They also conduct various workshops to bring out the various talents among the students and meet everyone's interests which brings out the interest among all the students towards the subject.

There are 4 hostels for boys and 3 for girls every room is shared by two students and the mess food is decent. The timings are so convenient and the service is so good eating with all the friends together is always fun.

Recently we had an alumni meet in our college where the old students who graduated from our college came and addressed themselves and shared their experiences. Coming to our seniors, they are always there to help us in need also guide us regarding our studies and any other matter that bothers us in the college.

The schedule of examinations, labs, workshops is well organised in our college. there are mid term exams, end term exams, assignments etc but we never feel hectic and strained as we learn and do everything in the college itself team work always plays a very important role and we learn everything in a leisurely manner.

The faculty in our college consists of professors, assistant professors, research scholars, guest lecturers, etc who are well qualified with a higher degree from renowned universities. They strive hard for the well being of their students and will never step back to teach anything which is entirely a new concept. This stands as the prior reason for our college to be in the zenith among the others.
