Decent college for Engineering in Meerut

Curriculum of the course is as per defined parameters and the laid guidelines of the Technical education managing body AICTE. the system of examination that is followed is the semester-wise system of examination. 2 end semester examinations are to be qualified in order to progress to the next year of study. Both practical as well as the theoretical examinations are conducted as a part of the end semester examination.

In terms of placement our college is ok. There is no 100% or 85% placement as claimed. On an average placement rate is around 60%. Companies do visit for the recruitment each year however apart from few renowned companies like TCS startups come which offer very less packages to the student. Many a time call centre type job profile is also offered. As of internship you have to get things on your own because there is nothing that the college provides in this regard.

Fee as compared to other private colleges is somewhat less in our college. The total fee for the entire course duration stands at around 2.5 to 3 lakh. During the time of admission one has to submit around 60,000 rupees which includes the admission charges, registration charges, miscellaneous charges etc.

The government of Uttar Pradesh offers scholarship to the students who are domicile of the state. Each year scholarships are offered to students from reserved categories, from the educationally and socially backward classes of society and below poverty line. I myself applied for the state government offerd scholarship. Central government also offers scholarship through National scholarship portal. One can also apply for educational loan offered by private and public sector banks.

Ourr college has good space and room for extra curricular activities like sports, acting, dramatics, dance etc. Various societies and clubs are there for such activities. Events are also celebrated from time to time like the Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual fest, music festival etc. Infrastructure wise the college is sound and secure.

I sat for the Uttar Pradesh state Engineering entrance examination that is UPSEE. I also applied for JEE Main examination I was not able to give the examination because of my health issues. I got this college alloted in the second round of counselling and since it was in the city of my residence I opted for this college. Admission to the college are also done through management quota that is direct admission without the consideration of the entrance examination score. In case one has given the JEE main examination then preference is given to the JEE Main score over the state entrance examination score.

Faculty of law college is good. Based on my interaction with the teachers I can say that some of them have very deep knowledge of their subject. Some of the professors have also obtained doctorate in their discipline. However, many young teachers are also their who have just come out after completing their post graduation. Thus I can say that the faculty is a mix of young and experienced teachers.
